Dustyn and I were at my parents house and we found this spider outside! Yuck! It was kinda cool. I had never seen a spider like that before! And it was very very large!

It's COLD!!

It has been so cold lately! I am glad it's not hot and it's cooling off, but man, oh man. It's cold! I am not ready to turn on the heater yet! So here I sit on a Sunday afternoon in my bed trying to get warm! Brrr...
Whatever happened to Spring and Fall! I bet it will warm up soon though. At least we didn't get snow like the northern part of the state! Ha ha!
Soup is definitely on the menu for dinner!!

Hoover's Cafe
Last night, Dustyn and I went to Hoover's Cafe with my mom and dad. My mom ordered a Extreme Hoover Burger and Dustyn ordered an Full Hoover Pastrami Burger. They had to have been the biggest hamburgers I have ever seen. My mom's had a one pound hamburger patty and Dustyn's had two 1/2 pound hamburger patties! That is a lot of meat!!
Well the service was.... well.... crappy. Dustyn's hamburger was COMPLETELY raw and gross. So he sent it back. He also got all you can eat shrimp. Well the waitress only bringing one plate at a time (mom and Dustyn both had shrimp). Well she dropped off a plate and walked off. Dustyn said, "My word" in frustration. It just so happen that one of the owners was walking by at the exact same time. She stopped to see what we needed. We told her. The waitress came back with shrimp and then stormed off. Well somewhere she must have received an attitude adjustment, because the next time she came back she was so nice. She apologized and offered Dustyn a piece of free chocolate cake. It was a BIG piece of cake.
It was fun though.

One reason I don't look forward to fall...
All the bugs and spiders decide to move in to our house!! Every year our house has lots of stink bugs. This does not excite me at all. I guess I can deal with stink bugs over some other creatures. But today I found the biggest stink bug that I have ever seen! It was crawling down the curtain... I was going to stop and get a picture, but I couldn't risk giving it the opportunity to perfume my house! Yuck! So I got a cup and scooped it up and threw it outside (cup and all) all before he had the opportunity to raise his little behind. Now that was some quick movement!!

But the one bad thing is that I found our first black widow for the year! I hate those!! I think it is time to call someone to come spray our house. Grrr.... I hope they aren't bad this year. Last year we only saw a few, but the year before was bad!!

And I found two earwigs!! YUCK! I HATE EARWIGS!! So nasty! We usually don't have them in our house, so I wasn't too excited to find them on the curtains last night. Dang curtains!!

Guess I better go call someone!! Grrr.... I hope the mice will leave us alone this year!!

I read this on KSL today and thought it was a good idea!
Addition to Cell Phone Could Help in Emergencies
September 24th, 2007 @ 9:35pm
Amanda Butterfield Reporting
Police and paramedics say there is a simple thing you can do with your cell phone that could save your life. It's free, it's easy, but it just hasn't caught on in Utah.
ICE is the contact that cell phone companies and emergency responders want you to have in your cell phone.
Gary Younger of Qwest explained, "ICE is an acronym we use for 'in case of emergency.'"
It's simple; just put "ICE" before the name of your emergency contact.
"If you've got an accident, that first responder can look on your phone and see an 'ICE' by a name, and know that's a person they might want to call," Younger said.
ICE originated in Europe and spread to the U.S. Here's the premise: Not everyone carries ID with them, but it seems everyone carries a cell phone.
ICE clears that up, and if you put an asterisk before, it will show first under contacts. It's free, it's easy, but not a lot of people are using it in Utah.
Vicki Aubrey of the Salt Lake City Police Department said, "I was watching the news out-of-state one day and saw it on the news."
Aubrey was one of the few Salt Lake City officers we could find who had heard about ICE. She says it's a concept that could really help people in her line of work.
"If someone is unconscious, go looking for their phone to try and identify who they are, find someone who can tell me who they are."
Everyone we talked to thought it was a good idea.
A cell phone user named Annette told us, "I think it's smart, because you never know what could happen."
But we couldn't find anyone who actually had it in their phone. If people did have it, Aubrey says it would make a big difference.
"I hope it does catch on. It would help immensely in trying to contact people after accidents," she said.
Younger said, "Just ICE before the name and the phone number, and you're good to go."
You can find out more about ICE at the link on this page.

Tagged by Libby (sorry I am so slow!!)
I've Been TAGGED!!
Here's how you play.
Once you've been tagged, you have to write a blog with 10 weird, random things, facts, habits or goals about yourself.
At the end, you choose 10 people to be tagged, listing their names and why you chose them to be tagged.
So here I go! 10 Random Facts!
1. I still have never put any holes in my living room walls! (We have lived here almost three years) I use the 3M mounting hangers that you just pull off the wall when you are finished. I just can't bring myself to do it! But over the weekend, Dustyn bought me a star to hang on my wall from Tai Pan Trading! I love it! But I am going to have to put a hole in the wall! AHHHH!!! Trama, trama!

2. I love being in charge! It's hard for me to sit back and let someone be in charge of me. I am sure no one would have guessed this. But I am a control freak and I have to have things my way! (Poor Dustyn) When I am not in charge, I just sit back and try to blend in. Weird. I know. But for this reason, Subbing works out great for me!
3. I LOVE clean laundry! When I fold my laundry I smell it at least 10 times during the process (for each item). Before I put my clothes on I smell them a few more times. Although when they are dirty, I avoid smelling them.

4. I hate mopping my floor! I need these! Maybe I might get the job done more often! It needs it so bad, right now! Blah!

5. If I were to go back to my first year of college, I would have been an Architect or gone into Advertising. I could look at labels and packaging all day! I buy products based on their packaging and label design. I love design!

6. I can't buy "cheap" things. I would rather not have something, than buy the cheap version. Or save up for a really long time so I could get what I want. I am all about Quailty rather than quantity. Bad, I know.
7. I would LOVE to live back east. I love the green trees and the rain! I don't love living in a desert. But I think my family might miss me and I might miss them. That is the only thing keeping us here. But I do enjoy being here around family and friends.

8. I am obsessed with the Internet. I check my email a million times a day. I love reseaching things on the internet. Before I buy anything, I research it all out on the internet. And then, I usually buy it on the internet. I get on the Internet even more now that I have to get on to check for available subbing jobs! And some of my best friends where found on the Internet!

9. I love squares and stars. If there is a square or star on it, I probably love it!

10. I have known and loved Dustyn for 1440 days. (After I stalked him for a few months) We have been married for 1353 days. He's the best husband I could have ever asked for. I knew I loved him the moment we went out on our first date. Then when he kissed me later that day! He's the best!

I tag....
1. Claudia (Friends from SUU: Cause I love her and I miss her!)
2. Hilary (Friends: she's one of my best friends and I think she is awesome!)
3. Heather (Friends: I would love to learn more about you!! :) And she needs a blog!!)
4. Ruth (Friends from SUU: She's awesome and I miss her! Cali is too far away!)
5. Charity (She's my cousin and I haven't seen a post from her in awhile, I thought I would give some motivation.)
6. Megan (Friends: It's been fun getting to know her and I could always learn 10 more random things!!)
7. Michelle (Friends since Middle School: She can always come up with something interesting!)
8. Sharon (Friends from SUU: I miss her too!! And she cracks me up!)
9. JaKell (Sis: To see if she can tell me anything new!)
10. I have so many friends that I want to do this, but they don't have blogs... so you should get blogs!! Yay for blogs!!
And last, but not least.... DUSTYN!!

This has been a good weekend. We are just heading north. We are going to visit Dustyn's mom and maybe go window shopping for fall decor! We'll be back tomorrow! So until then... audios!

Hannah

Today as I was surfing my regular blogs, I came across one that made me sad. :( A sweet couple had just lost their baby. My mind was flooded with thoughts of Hannah. I can't believe it has been almost three years since she left this earth to live with her Heavenly Father. We miss her and can't wait to be reunited with her again. I know without a doubt that Familes are Forever and that we will be with her again. October is always a hard month. It's the month where I hide out at home and hope that no one sees me or talks to me. I avoid all social activities and stay home. But it's also one of my all time favorite months.
When I think back I also remember all the good things as well. All the love and support that helped make us through the first few months. Of course it still hurts and of course I still think about her everyday, but that is because we love her so much.
**I hope the picture doesn't bother anyone too much. If it does, let me know. I am sure that most of you never got see her pictures.

SSHS Girls Soccer

Dustyn and I went to the SSHS girls soccer game today. It was awsome! They did so well! They lost, but they did great. It was 1-0 for Manti. But Manti had like 30 players and South Sevier had 11 and then two more came at half. Since you need 10 players in at a time... most of them played the entire time. They were amazing. The goalie just joined the team this week. This was her second game and she was unbelievable. She has never played soccer before, but you would never guess it! The girls were all so wore out and dissappointed, but they did great. Now the Refs.... that's another story. ;)

Life
Well not much has been going on with us lately, just being busy.

Last weekend we went camping. My mom's Elk Hunt started last Saturday, so we have gone up to Fishlake everyday waiting for her to find an elk. It's been a lot of fun. We decided that we better stay home tonight for YM/YW, although we'd rather be in the mountains! It is beautiful up there right now! All the leaves are changing and it is so pretty! I am so happy that fall is here! The best time of the year! Yay!

I have been keeping very busy subbing and I am LOVING it! I have a lot of fun! I might have Friday off. That will be the first day off since I started! I want to work, but the teacher that I am subbing for this week it coming back earlier than scheduled... but I can't change it on Subfinder, so I just have to hear of a job by word of mouth. Which makes it kinda hard and tricky. I guess I could take one day off. :P
That is pretty much all that is going on. It seems like we are running non-stop. Dustyn got a part-time job tutoring at the Dorm. He starts that tomorrow. He also does tutoring at the school on Wednesday's, so he is really busy too. But I guess busy is good.

Exhausted I tell you, Exhausted.

I promise I am not trying to ignore anyone. I know I haven't kept up on my emails or blogs or anything. I am just exhausted. I guess that is what happens when you sit around and do nothing for a couple of months and then are suddenly expected to be up and out the door by 6:40AM. I have been subbing in Monroe for the past few days. I have just been driving with Dustyn to save a little gas money here and there... and plus it's fun spending time with him in the morning... even though I am half asleep. But he has a class at 7:00AM, so we have to leave here at 6:40AM to get there in time. Then I just hang out in his classroom until I have to be to school. And if you know me - I stall and do anything so I don't have to go to bed. I stay up way too late. Well of this has caught up with me this week. Then you add all the standing I am not use to... I am just plain drained. Today when we got home, we both crashed for about an hour and took a much needed nap. I am not big on afternoon naps, but I just couldn't help it!
But subbing is going well... sometimes too well I think. I am booked for the next two weeks and teachers have heard the word and secured a few days in October. I am excited. I hope it continues to go well. But I hope I get a day off to get everything done. Ha ha. But I get to sleep in tomorrow... I don't have to be to Ashman until 7:45AM! Yes!! Then we are going camping and taking a break for the weekend! We wanted to go up to the state fair, but I don't think we will make it up there this weekend.

However....

Turns out I am not really a great Middle School girls PE teacher. Today was... interesting. Hopefully tomorrow goes well.
I got to the Middle School and they had two subs sechuduled. The other lady let me take it. Nice of her. But the teacher left instructions like I'd subbed a lot for her (which I am sure the other lady had). She sent them to the other lady. It was kinda a mess. I am glad to have it over. Maybe I can change some things and make improvements for tomorrow. Oh yes, (note to self) WEAR WATCH!!

Larry the Cable Guy

Last night we went to Larry the Cable Guy in Mesquite. It was prettty funny. We drove home afterwards and got home around 3:30/4-ish. Then Dustyn had to get up for 7:00AM meeting. Poor guy. I at least slept in until 8AM!
Here is a really dorky blurry picture of us, but it's the only one we got!

Go SSHS Rams!
Dustyn was beaming with school spirit today! He went to a Pep Assembly, Walked in a Homecoming Parade, attended a Volley Ball Game and the Homecoming football game... And I tell you what... it must of paid off. South Sevier beat North Sevier tonight! Woohooo!

Who knew...
I'd be such a great teacher? Ha ha... Just kidding. No really, it was a really good day and I was even impressed with myself! (Lets just hope the teacher is too when he gets back). Ha ha! I mean there are always going to be students who are knot heads... but overall it went really well. Now I just need to get some sort of disciplinary procedure and I will be good.
Hopefully it will continue to go like this... and that wasn't just a confidence boost so I would go back again! :)
There is an opening for an Elementary? I am nervous. I would rather teach High School anyday. But it might be good for me to go to an Elementary!

Update on our Adoption.
Even in my non-blogginess state, I wanted to update everyone on where we are in the adoption process.
Hilary decided to parent her sweet baby. We are so excited for her and know that she made the right decision for her and her baby. We couldn't be happier for her. Her baby deserves to have her as her mother! She is such a wonderful person! We love her!
We are in the waiting process again. So again we turn to you. If you know of a birthmother that is considering adoption, we would love to talk to her. Please pass along our information. I will be working on getting a profile up on the web, but for now, email will have to do. Of course, our blog is always a way to learn more about us and our craziness!

It's weird that it has now officially been a year. Crazy to think. We just had to update all our paperwork and background checks. We hope in the next year, we meet just as many great people - and we wouldn't mind bringing a baby home either. :)
And again, we appreciate all your love and support. The adoption process is such an emotional rollercoaster and we are blessed to have friends and family that we can turn to when we need a little extra support!
THANK YOU! We love you all!
And don't forget to check out our adoption links. We have some great friends that are adopting too.

We're back!
We have been gone since Friday. We went up camping up on Seven Mile. It was a great time. My dad had some friends up there that were Elk Hunting. We had a great time getting to know them and sharing funny stories about each other. We took the boat out on Saturday and had fun riding around. Dustyn spent some time painting.
It was a great weekend!
