My Favorite Quote for the day . . .

". . . and the Jazz by 40"

Nice.

Another reason . . .

Why I LOVE my husband!
Yes, that is right . . . he sets my clothes out for me in the morning.  :)  (no, this is not my bed or my clothes, I always forget to take a picture)  He is so great!  If I try to pick out my clothes - I get WAY TOO frustrated and mad.  I try on everything and then end up completely and totally irritated.  So my wonderful husband has me clothes out sitting on the bed when I get out of the shower!  AND, I am always happy with what he picks out.  (Sometimes he even gives me two choices!)  I have my own fashion consultant!  And he is in total agreement with me about me needing a new wardrobe.  I mean he struggles picking out my clothes too!  lol.  I think he enjoys it as much as I do.  He must really love me.

Photo Shoot

Over the weekend Dustyn and I tried to take photos for Matt and Amy. We had a lot of fun and got a lot of really good shots, but this was the first time we have taken pictures of a family with a toddler. It was a fun experience, but a learning one too!

But isn't she just the cutest thing ever?

Congratulations Cali and Travis

Another amazing miracle(yep, click here!)- Adoption.

Fishing Fun

This video makes me laugh.  There is nothing exciting about it at all, but that is the part that makes me laugh.  This is Dustyn trying to entertain himself while fishing!  (in a boat that is floating back and forth and back and forth in the wind!)  :)

Easter Weekend

We had a great week and Easter weekend.  Spring Break was nice, but we didn't do anything too exciting - just hung out in Richfield (which was fun).

JaKell and the kids were down for the week so it was fun to spend some time with them.  We played LOTS of games and watched movies, made cookies, and just hung out.  Good times!

On Saturday, Dustyn, Dad and I went out boating.  It was so fun to be outside!  It wasn't super warm - but warm enough to be outside.  It was beautiful!  We had lots of fun on the boat and I even caught a fish!  Wooohooo!  But of course, we didn't get it in the boat with our lack of a net - so no pictures.  :(

On Sunday, Dustyn and I went to visit Dustyn's mom.  It was so much fun to see family and hang out!  Seems like we don't get up there as much as we use to, so it's fun when we do.  Clyff and Myrna made us a yummy dinner and we played games.  What a great Easter afternoon!

Know what I have been dreaming about lately and missing?

Or maybe I am just longing for a vacation, far, far away.

Happy Easter

This was the quote I used on my Sacrament Meeting Program today.

Whenever the cold hand of death strikes, there shines through the gloom and the darkness of that hour the triumphant figure of the Lord Jesus Christ, He, the Son of God, who by his matchless and eternal power overcame death. He is the Redeemer of the world. He gave His life for each of us. He took it up again and became the firstfruits of them that slept. He, as King of Kings, stands triumphant above all other kings. He, as the Omnipotent One, stands above all rulers. He is our comfort, our only true comfort, when the dark shroud of earthly night closes about us as the spirit departs the human form.

-Gordon B. Hinckley, “This Glorious Easter Morn,” Ensign, May 1996, 65

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter.

My Sweet Hannah

I have been thinking about you a lot lately. I miss you baby girl!

One of my many favorite Tim McGraw songs.

The video is a tad bit lame - okay, maybe a lot lame . . . but this is the song that I can put on repeat and listen to over and over and over again when I am having a not so great day.

Ask Away!

Since I haven't had a lot to blog about lately - I decided to copy one of my favorite bloggers, Sheena from Sheenanigans, and have you ask the questions!  Instead of your basic "tagged" questionnaires, this way you can find out what you really wanted to know about me!  (or even Dustyn!!)  It worked out so well for her and ended up looking really fun.  So here I go!

Ask away.  Anything you have ever been curious about or any random question you suddenly came up with.

In a week or two I will answer all the questions!  Sounds like fun, doesn't it?  :)

To be in High School again!

Music Meme from Her.
Here is how it works: You go to Pop Culture Madness scroll down a bit to where it lists the decades of Billboard hits. Click on the one you turned 18 in, and then scroll down again to the year you turned 18. Copy and paste the list of 75 songs into notepad so it will get rid of the chart formatting, then copy and paste again into your post. You will bold the ones you liked; strike the ones that made you want to barf (or just hated) italicize the ones you knew but didn't give much thought to, didn't like or dislike them; and leave the ones you didn't know in the original text.

Summer Jobs!

And another reason that we are wanting to get in shape  . . . Dustyn got a summer job!  Yay!  He is going to be a teacher at a 5th grade summer camp, Camp Big Springs!  He was a teacher 2 years ago and loved it.  But he has to go on a major hike once a week.  (The camp is for the month of June)  And several smaller hikes through out the week.  (Not to mention the hike to the stinkin' tent!  That one about killed me everytime!!) So it would be great if he were in shape BEFORE camp starts so he doesn't die the first week!  :)

Now, I just need to go get a summer job!  I will still be baby-sitting twice a week, but I need to find something else.  I would love to go be up at camp with Dustyn and work as Kitchen staff, but it is so hard to make major decisions when you are adopting!  One reason I decided to be a substitute teacher is because it is flexible and I can take time off whenever I want or need to.  That would work really well if anything ever came up.  But if we were both at camp for the entire month, we'd have to put our adoption on hold until after and that isn't something I want to do.  (Once we make the commitment, we can't back out or come home early.)  But I don't want to put my life on hold until we adopt either.  I mean it could be years.  It could be months.  It could be days.  You never really know.

That is the dilemma we are always trying to figure out.  Dustyn was really nervous to commit to camp - but we figured it would all work out.  The worst scenario is that he only gets to see the baby on the weekends for a month (or on placement day if it were ever to happen in June).  Something we'd just have to deal with.  I know, I know.  I am worrying too much!  It's just so hard to make decisions when you have no idea what your life will be like in the next month.  :)  But that isn't necessary a bad thing either!  :)

Where have you been?!?!

I know, I know.  I am just out of it lately!  Or rather - IT'S BEEN WARM OUTSIDE!  I am loving being outside and cleaning!  I am so excited for spring.  This is the time of year that I find motivation!  I just want to get everything clean and organized - including my body!  I love this time of year!
Dustyn received a small cash award for his Teacher of the Year Award.  Guess what my wonderful husband did with it?

For him . . .
And for me . . . I am so excited! We are ready to get in shape and lose a few unwanted pounds. This is something that we can do together that we enjoy! (And most importantly - doesn't involve my FEET! Blah.)  This will for sure be part of our exercise plan.  We went for a ride last night.  It was so nice and fun!  And a serious workout!  (It's uphill to my parents house!  LOL)  I am so excited!

We also got all the limbs picked up in our yard.  It was a task.  There are a TON of trees in our yard that LOVE losing limbs when the wind blows.  We filled our city trash can and had to go buy another 45 gal can and filled it.  And I am talking STUFFED!  Dustyn got in them and jumped up and down to smash it in and fit more!  And there are plenty left over.  I am excited for the next wind storm!

Dustyn also took down the Christmas lights!  YAY!  We usually get them down the first week in January, but it has been a busy year so far and too stinkin' cold!

So that is a basic update.  It's been busy, but a great month so far.  :)

Weekends!!

We had a great weekend!  There was only ONE problem.  I totally forgot my camera and my video camera!  So irritating!!!!

We went to Springville for the All State High School Show.  Dustyn received his "Utah Art Educator of The Year" Award and gave an excellent speech!  He really is a great public speaker.  I am always so impressed with him!  I am so proud of him!  He is an amazing person!  And an amazing artist and teacher!  He received a cash award and he also gets to choose one of his artworks to be hung in the David O. McKay Education building at BYU for one year.  I am so proud of him!  I wish I would have brought the video camera so I could have had his speech.  I am so mad at myself!!!  I always forget that we even OWN a video camera.  We never use it and have had it almost a year.  :P

This evening, we attended the Wild Turkey Association Banquet.  It was fun and of course Uncle Pete made some AMAZING food.  But . . . we were as lucky as we usually are and won . . . nothing.  :p  But I always enjoy going to them anyways.

We hope ya'll had a great weekend!
