testing, testing.

<---- <---- <---- Now can you see it?

Button, button. The button.

<---- <---- <---- Can you see my button on the left?
Photobucket
It seems like not everyone can...  and a few of you are having problems when trying to add it.
I don't have any problems with it, so I can't figure out what is wrong.
I know that I can not see it on my dad's computer or my grandma's computer.
Anyone have any suggestions of what I did wrong and what I can do to fix it?

The Thanksgiving Story

Turkey?

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!
(even you, Heather)

In preparation . . .

1. Sweet potatoes? With or without marshmellows?
WITH! And lots of brown sugar and pecans!  Mmm....

2. Green Bean Casserole? Like it or hate it?
Depends....  if I make it, like it.  If it's your average green been casserole, not so much.

3. Turkey or Ham or Turkducken or Tofuturkey?
Only turkey.  I don't do ham.

4. Pumpkin, apple, or pecan pie?
Umm...  Banana or Coconut Cream.

5. Cool Whip or Real Whipped Cream?
Real for sure.  Who cares about calories this time of year.  Not to say that I shouldn't.

6. Do you watch the Macy's parade?
Uh-huh!

7. Do you take a nap after eating the feast?
Depends.  Mostly, no.  We have a lot of festivities and just enjoying everyones company.

8. Do you participate in Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving sales)?
Umm...  no.  It scares me.  We have considered it this year just because there are going to be some great sales.  But come on...  we really only have Wal-Mart around here.  And maybe K-Mart.

9. What are you most thankful for this year?
Adoption.

How I met Dustyn!

Tagged by Meg!

1. Where did you meet? The Singles Ward!

5. Where did you go for your first date? The Haunted Forest
6. How long did you know this person before you became a couple?  Uhm... a couple of weeks, maybe.  More like 4 days.  I knew more about him than he knew about me.

8. Has this person ever proposed to you? Yep!  5 years ago this month!
9. Do you and this person have kids together?  One baby girl in Heaven.
10. Have you ever broken the law with this person?  Not really.  At least not that I can think of.  Except maybe speeding a few times.  :)
11. When was the first time you realized that you liked this person?  Probably when I tried and tried to talk to him and he continued to ignore me.  Nice, huh?  I have no idea why I even continued trying.  I basically really liked him from the moment I "almost" met him.

And have had a few questions asked.

And comments made.

I promise I have not forgot about you.

I will get back with you soon.

And if I don't (or you wanna remind me)...  email me again or comment.

Lots of Love

Have a fabulous Monday!

THANKSGIVING IS IN FOUR DAYS!!!  WOOOHOOO!

Busy, busyness.

This weekend was fabulous.

Thursday right after school we headed down to St. George to hang out with Matt, Amy and Miss M.  We had a great time!  Amy made us dinner and even gave us a tour of the new house.  It really is cute!  Around 10:30 PM, Amy and I headed down to the theater to get in line to see Twilight.  We figured we would be waiting in line for-ev-er.  We were pleasantly surprised to find out that there was not a line!  Yay for us!  So we sat in the theater and chatted for about an hour and a half while we waited for the movie to start.  It was so much fun!  I loved chatting with Amy !  Love her!  Matt , Dustyn and Miss M hung out at the house watching movies.  It was a good time for sure!

Twilight!  I thought it was good!  It was really weird for me to watch a book that I have read on the big screen.  I did not really like Edward too much, but overall I liked the movie.  I think if I were to see it again, I would like it far better than the first time.  I am sure that I will get the chance (Dustyn wants to see it) so I will let you know!  :)  Am and I had lots of fun laughing at the cheesy special effects and Jasper's face. ;)

Matt and Amy , thanks so much for having us down!  We had so much fun!  And thanks for letting us be the first guests to stay over at your house!  We'll be back, for sure!

On Friday we headed up to SLC where we met Arianne, Greg and Miss A! Miss A hung out with us while Greg and Arianne went to see Twilight.  We had so much fun with her and had lots of laughs.  She is such a cute princess George.  Just ask her.  :)  Afterwards Arianne and I stayed up and chatted and played on her blog.  They were also nice enough to give us a place to crash, again!  We always kick Miss A out of her bed, sad huh?  They are the best.  The next morning Arianne had a boutique at her house with lots and lots of cute, cute stuff.  It was a fun day.

Thanks for all the fun guys!  It was so good to see you again!  We'll be back up soon!  :)  And don't forget, Greg and Arianne are hoping to adopt!  Please pass along their information!

JaKell and the kids were even able to stop by!  It was so good to see them!  I miss them!  I am excited for Thanksgiving!  YAY!

We spent the rest of Saturday running errands and shopping for Thanksgiving!  It was a great, but busy weekend.

Of course I didn't take one picture, even though my camera was in my purse the entire time.  So, so sad.

And, if you didn't notice, we have a new button!  Feel free to add it to your blogs and help spread the news that we are adopting!

Randomness

I decided that my blog is ready for a random post.

I haven't had a lot to talk about lately.  I just don't have much to say.  Thus the random post.  I always have randomness going for me!

I am so excited to go to the Twilight Party tomorrow night in St. George!  Wooohooo!  Thank you Amy and Haven for inviting me!  You guys rock!  We will totally have a blast!  Oh yeah, and I am sure the movie *might* be cool too.  We'll see about that.  ;)

I love all the holiday blog give-aways!  Of course I never win, but it sure is fun to have the opportunity.  I wish I could come up with something so I could do a blog giveaway.  I'm thinking.  And thinking.

I am completely stoked about Thanksgiving!  It got to be a favorite holiday of mine (aren't they all?).  Dustyn and I are hoping to get some suckers made before then.  It is becoming a tradition.  A fun one!  I got all the stuff out and washed the other day, now I just need to do it.  Soon.  I can not believe how fast it is coming!  ONE WEEK AWAY!

We decided to tag along with my family on a cruise!  I am so excited because;  1. I have never been on one.  2. Dustyn and I will be having our 5th Anniversary soon! Time to celebrate!  3.  Everyone needs a break.  4.  Mexico in February...  fabulous!

I need a new black dress.  I am really hoping for something like this... (I love, love, love it!) but I have no idea where to look.  I have been searching and searching, but have come up with nothing.  I guess I do have until the end of January to find one.

I had soooo many random thoughts earlier today that I was going to blog about... and now... nothing.  I love that.

Lately, I have been thinking about how old we are getting!  I can not believe that in 6 months, I will be 30.  Crazy!  I remember when my mom turned 30.  Ha ha!  It just seems so weird to realize that I am kinda growing up!  At least in age.

We watched Wall-E last night.  I love that movie!  It is a cute one!  But of course my FAVORITE part is when Wall-E charges and "boots up" when he is fully charged.  I love that.  Of course, it is a Mac start up sound.  That may help.  ;)

It's sad that I don't even have much randomness in me lately.
I suppose this will do for now!  :)

Have a great FRIDAY my friends!

White walls

Through our adoption journey we have been matched, packed, and ready to leave at a moments notice at least 6 or so times (really, I've lost count.  We've been "matched" many more times).  We prepared, loved and prayed for so so many little children.  Children of God.  Children we hoped and prayed would come into our home. We are prepared.  We are ready.  We have everything a baby would need to thrive and grow.

Lately I have felt the urge to get rid of everything. Remember the nursery?  I feel like I need to paint it white.  I want white walls.  Now, I know you are asking, "Why put so much work into something that you are just going to paint white and start over?"  I want to start over.  I want to go back to the first year of our adoption journey where we were excited!  Anxious!  Ready!  I want to feel the fresh feeling of HOPE again.

I can't look at the nursery.  I never go in there, but it is always tugging at the back of my mind.  After packing and unpacking so many times, it's a mess.  I want to go organize it and make it perfect.  Ready.  But I just can't.  I want to get rid of it.

Thankfully I have the gospel in my life that continually gives me hope.  I have friends.  Many friends that are hoping and praying for us!  I have so many friends that are always there offering support.  I love reading blogs.  They help me so much to see how great things can turn out.  And how sometimes, they don't turn out.  But you know what?  I am not the only one going through this.  There are other people out there, like me.  Yes.  Little old me.

I have family that are always there!  Ready to hand out pass-along cards, talk to everyone they know about adoption, and to support us in every way they can.

There is so much love and support surrounding me.  How can I want to start over?  I never want to forget the experiences we have had.  I never want to forget the little spirits we have loved and hoped for.  I never want to forget the spirit that has filled our lives with each experience.  Those are perfect moments.  Moments when my heart wants to jump out of my chest.  Those are moments that keep me going and wanting to try again and again.  Those are moments that give me hope.

Enduring

"Enduring to the end, or remaining faithful to the laws and ordinances of
the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout our life, is a fundamental
requirement for salvation in the kingdom of God...Therefore, enduring to
the end is not just a matter of passively tolerating life’s difficult
circumstances or “hanging in there.” Ours is an active religion, helping
God’s children along the strait and narrow path to develop their full
potential during this life and return to Him one day...Enduring to the end
is a process filling every minute of our life, every hour, every day, from
sunrise to sunrise. It is accomplished through personal discipline
following the commandments of God."

-- Dieter F. Uchtdorf,"Have We Not Reason to Rejoice?"

I needed to remember this.

Love her!

Why I was posting my photos from Disneyland, I found this picture.
She's so cute!  And funny, even when she's mad.

Have you voted yet?

There is still time!

Good Things Utah and National Adoption Month

Mrs. R, of The R House, is going to be on Good Things Utah (channel 4) tomorrow at 10:00 AM!  Set your DVR, Tivo, or just watch it.  She is an amazing advocate of adoption and just adopted her second child a few months ago.  Your really not gonna want to miss this.

Life

Did you know that November is National Adoption Month?

Brenley posted this video on her blog and it completely got me thinking.

I am so grateful for the trials that I have been given and for the blessing of being involved in adoption.  It is an amazing program and full of the Love of Christ.

Life.

The reason I will not be voting for Mr. Obama today.

I value life.  I can not look past the abortion issue.

My family depends on it.

Halloween in Disneyland! Can it get any better?

You gotta have some driving in the car pictures, don't you?

We had a great time in California!  It was a fun trip!  We went with my friends, Carrie and Rodney. *who are hoping to adopt !  If you know of anyone considering adoption, feel free to pass-along their information!*  Carrie was one of my first roommates back when we went to Snow College back in 1997.  I know.  Sheesh, I'm getting old!  But we have been BFFs since!  I love her to death!

Dustyn and I drove down to Vegas on Thursday afternoon.  We arrived around 3:00PM and got to check out Carrie and Rodney's new house! Very nice by the way!  Carrie got out of school around 3:30PM and we hit the road.  We actually went to dinner first at Cafe Rio.  Yum.  Then we hit the road around 6:00PM.  I have no idea what we actually did during the entire time, but it was fun!

We arrived at our hotel in Anaheim, CA around 10:30PM or so.  I don't really remember, but it was kinda late.  Our hotel was nice!  It was 0.5 miles away from Disneyland, so that made it nice.  It had a really nice pool, hot tub and a yummy breakfast.  I totally want to stay there again!  We were in a Queen Suite so the room had a full kitchen (not that we needed one).  I think we finally made it to bed around midnight or so.

Friday we got up and going and ate breakfast.  We headed to California Adventure first.  Of course, we had to head to Hollywood Tower of Terror.
Man! I love that ride!  Next was Soaring over California, Dustyn's favorite.  Once we had the favorites covered, we wandered around the park.  The Halloween decorations were so fun!  There were candy corns everywhere.  They had "Candy Corn Acres" were they were growing grapes, corn, pumpkins, carrots, and a few others - but they were all in the shape of candy corns.  Very cute!  Around noon or one (remember, I have a bad memory) we headed to Disneyland!
I love Halloween in Disneyland!
Carrie kinda blends in.
One of many goofy picture of Dustyn.  You really shouldn't give me a camera!
C is for Carrie!
(I took this picture for CamRee and Hadi.  I wish they could have been there to see it instead. :( )
C-A-L-I-F-O-R-N-I-A
YAY!
The Gang!  Except for the coolest picture taker ever!
Like our ziplock bags to protect our electronics?  Nice.
Halloween Time!  They had "candy" music playing.  It was fun!
The World's Largest Candy Corn.
Yes, I have lot of pictures of Dustyn.  He's cute.
"Why so many pictures?" he asks.
I know!  A picture of me!  In front of the Haunted Mansion. (Of course it has been revamped into The Nightmare before Christmas.  It was pretty cool.  But you have to miss the old one a little.
Here we are together!  Jack in the background sitting on the pumpkin.  My aim is off.
Dustyn is thinking...  ZERO days until Christmas?  Whatever.
We're excited!
Bored waiting in line.
Dustyn messing with settings on my camera.
And taking crazy weird pictures of me. Oh well.  (Like my Mardi Gras beads?)
Hmmm....
Jack and ... whoever that is.  Guess I should brush up on my Nightmare Before Christmas Trivia.  Whoops.

We had loads of fun!  We have a lot of random pictures (as seen above.  And below!)...  mostly while we were waiting in lines.  It really was a great weekend in the park.  Not too many lines.  I think the longest we waited in any line was like 45 minutes.  The weather was great (a little warm for us) and we even saw Howie Mandel.  Twice!  I know.  We are sooo lucky!  We went on Splash Mountain three times.  The first time, we all got completely soaked.  The wettest I have ever seen anyone get off that ride...  I am so not kidding.  I was HILARIOUS!  We were basically soaked before the big drop!  How does that happen?  Either way, it did.  It was crazy and I about died laughing my butt off.  (yes, that happened NUMEROUS times on the trip.  It was great!)  The second time we didn't get wet (the people with us were too lite), so we tried again.  Luckily we got matched with a few people who weren't sticks.  It worked that time.  It was SO funny.
A before pic.
Another before pic.  Not much better.
Oooo...  getting closer...
Closer ...
There is the first drop!  Yeah, by then we were soaked.  But I was trying to save my camera from getting soaked.  I didn't think we'd get too wet so I didn't put it in the ziplock bag.  Wrong.
After.  Too bad you can't see how wet we really are.  It was completely crazy!
The first time. I love it.
Here we are!  There are a few dry spots.  I had no idea there were any!
The second time.  Making faces of course!
And the last time.  We are dorks.

We had a blast and all the rides were great.  We obviously had a blast on the Buzz Lightyear ride.  After the first time, we started pulling faces on all the rides. It was great!  And you know what is the COOLEST ride ever?  I loved it!  The Toy Story ride in California Adventure!  It was so fun!  I totally enjoyed it.  I think that was the longest line we waited in, but it was so worth it.  It is similar to the Buzz Lightyear ride, but 3D and interactive.  It is awesome!
Getting ready for Toy Story.  Or maybe after.  Who knows.
Day Dreaming... or maybe Night dreaming in line.
Some more waiting.
Cheese!
And again!
So serious Dustyn!  I mean we are about to get on the coolest ride ever!
Maybe I squished too hard.

Anyways, it was a perfect weekend.  Except for my poor feet.  Sheesh!  I didn't think they would ever be the same.  But they felt much better on Sunday and today they are almost back to normal.  On Friday night, Dustyn and I went and sat in the Hot-tub and swam.  It was SO nice!  The hotel's pool was open 24 hours a day and is outdoors.  It was after 11:00PM when we went swimming.  It was completely peaceful and relaxing.
Waiting in line again.  I think that Rodney was probably getting a little annoyed by my fabulous picture taking!  ha ha.  Just teasing.  Dustyn was!
See...  I told you!  He kept closing his eyes. :P
Everytime! That is just mean!
Rodney.  I'm not sure what his face is saying here.
Dustyn and Rodney's pal.
Again!  Just ONE picture with eyeballs!
Rude! So I stuck my tongue at him.
And again!  Come on Dustyn!
More lines!
Making more faces!
The boys.  The girls were playing with the cameras.
Carrie and Rodney getting ready to get on the service elevator on the Tower of Terror.
Dustyn, the artist.
Here we are in front of Grizzly Bear Peaks.
They were totally lying.  They may be the happiest place on earth...  but they sure don't use Quilted Northern.  I was wishin' though.
Dustyn thinking in the Beast's study.
It's not a trip if you don't see Mickey Mouse!
After all this fabulous fun, we left Disneyland about 7:00PM or so on Saturday to head for home.  It was a long drive home, but we arrived in Vegas around 1:00AM.  Luckily we gained an hour in there somewhere.  :)  We stayed at Rodney and Carrie's house that night and went to church with them on Sunday.  After church, it was back to Utah.

It was a fun vacation and it just made me want to go again and spend more time!

Thanks Carrie and Rodney!  We had a blast!

(hopefully you can make sense of all my pictures since they are just randomly thrown in there.)
