New Callings.

Dustyn recieved a new calling in our ward yesterday. We actaully talked to the bishop two weeks ago... and I think Dustyn is still in shock. He is the Young Men's President. He is pretty nervous but I know that he will do a great job and will be able to connect with the boys and benefit their lives. We know that through this calling and Dustyn's willingness to serve we will be blessed beyond measure. It kinda made us step back and re-evaluate our lives and recommit to being examples and being better people for ourselves.

Heavenly Father really does have a plan for us and he knows what we need. He places challenges and obstacles in our lives so we can learn and become stronger, more faithful members of His church. I am so thankful that we are members of this great church. I love the feelings I get when I am doing the right and striving to be a better person. We just need to have faith and trust in His timeline for us!

Families are eternal. We are so excited to have a baby and have the birthmother as part of our lives (in which ever way she feels comfortable). She will truly give us the most precious gift anyone could give. We will be eternally greatful for her and her sacrifice. She will be our hero always. It's hard to express our love for birthmothers.

Seems like we have had a lot of time to think the past few weeks... and wonder what our future will be like. Wondering if we should make plans (like girls camp, scout camp, cruise with mom and dad, etc.) and wondering when our precious baby will come meet us.

So for now we are being hopefully optomistic as we wait for a baby.

Adoption

So as you all know we are in the waiting phase of our Adoption. It can be such an emotional roller coaster. So many ups and down. It's hard to just trust and have faith that everything will work out. We know Heavenly Father knows our needs and our wants and we know that he is mindful of us. We just have to have faith and trust in him.

It's hard to open up and get involved for fear of getting hurt again. I know that it's just part of the process and part of the learning experience. I know that we will grow and be better from our experiences but right now that doesn't make things any easier. It still hurts when things don't work out... no matter how hard we try to not get excited and get attached.

Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. We appreciate all of the support we recieve! :)

Happy Easter!

I found these on the internet and thought they were funny... hope you enjoy!

Law of the Telephone: If you dial a wrong number, you never get a busy signal.
Law of the Alibi: If you tell the boss you were late for work because you had a flat tire, the very next morning you will have a flat tire.

Law of Close Encounters: The probability of meeting someone you know increases when you are with someone you don't want to be seen with.

Law of the yard sale: When trying to prove to someone that the item you're selling will work, it won't.
Law of Biomechanics: The severity of the itch is inversely proportional to the reach.
Law of the Theatre: At any event, the people whose seats are furthest from the aisle arrive last.
Law of Coffee: As soon as you sit down to a cup of hot coffee, your boss will ask you to do something which will last until the coffee is cold.
Murphy's Law of Lockers: If there are only two people in a locker room, they will have adjacent lockers
Law of Rugs/Carpets: The chances of an open-faced jelly sandwich landing face down on a floor covering are directly correlated to the newness and cost of the carpet/rug.
Law of Location: No matter where you go, there you are.
Law of the Logical Argument: Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.
Brown's Law: If the shoe fits, it's ugly.
Oliver's Law: A closed mouth gathers no feet.
The Law of Wal-Mart: As soon as you find a product that you really like, they will stop carrying it.

Gina

I am quite annoyed that Gina went home tonight. She was my favorite and I thnk that at least three of the others deserved to go home before her. But oh well. I guess there is still Blake. He'll probably be the next to get sent home though.... so Sanjaya can win! But I would buy Gina's album before any of the others... I guess I am a little more of a rocker than the rest of America. This is a weird season.
