B.C.'s Quest for Tires

We have been looking at old games that you can buy for the Wii. We bought Dr. Mario (a must) and Bubble Bobble! YAY! And I found a place where you can play Duck Tales online! Yes!

But then I started thinking about old Atari games. Ha ha. Anyone remember this game? Is was my FAVORITE! I bet at least my dad remembers it. But man, I think video games have improved just a little over the past 20 years. Too funny!

By the way, if you have a Wii, I can send you a Demo Friend version of Dr. Mario so you can play with us. Just let me know.

I know, we are geeks.

Next . . . Jackson Family Reunion

Every year we have a Jackson Family Reunion in Wayne County. When I was growing up it was something that I always looked forward too. And, not much has changed. Over the years the reunion has changed and that makes me sad, but we still have fun. We use to all show up Friday and stay in a Lodge in Koosharem with everyone all weekend. Then on Monday we would all go to all the Cemeteries in Wayne County and place the flowers we made through out the weekend on our relatives graves. Well - the Ranch was sold so we moved on over to Torrey. There we stayed at the Thousand Lakes RV Park all weekend. It was still fun, but just not the Lodge. Well last year, they decided to make it a one day reunion. :( So sad. So we meet in Bicknell at the City Park on Saturday and squish all of our traditional activities into one day.

This year, because of all the changes, my family decided to stay in Fishlake and camp and then just drive over to Bicknell on Saturday. We got to Fishlake late Friday night. Set up our tent and ate dinner. Of course, it snowed Friday night. But our awesome tent didn't mind.
On Saturday we headed on over to Bicknell. It was good to see everyone and spend time with our relatives that we see once a year. It just wasn't a good day for me. I was incredibly emotional. So my dad offered to take us fishing in the afternoon, so we left. So that was it. I was pretty bummed. Something I look forward to every year and it's over before I even started to enjoy it. I was especially sad since Dustyn and I missed out on it last year. We were in Pennsylvania. I guess there is always next year. But here are some pictures of our Saturday! I took over 700 pictures. I know.

Here is my mom . . .
And my dad . . .
My Grandpa . . . My Great Aunt making flower arrangements to take around to the Cemeteries. Our traditional auction. We use the money to buy plates, napkins, cups, etc for the upcoming year. Smart, huh? :)Playing outside on the slide! Weee . . .
Isn't she too cute? I love her!
This is my cute cousin Alicia and her daughter. Love them!
Chet. He's graduated, you know. And single too!
Dustyn - He's awesome. Of course he is!

On to fishing. After we left the reunion, we drove back to Fishlake and went fishing. We have been trying to catch a Mack. So with our polls out and ready for anything, we trolled and trolled. It was fun! But cold. It would be warm for a moment or two, then it would be snowing. Then the wind would blow, then it would snow. But I still enjoyed ever moment! Of couse, we didn't catch anything. So we went back to the Trailer/Tent and had dinner, and off to bed. Of course, it snowed/rained all night.
See the snow? :) The the serious Mack catching fishing pole?
On Sunday, Dustyn and I attended church at the Lodge. I love attending Church at the Lodge. If Dustyn didn't have meetings every week, I think we would spend a lot more time there. I mean we go camping nearly every weekend anyways - it would just make it easier than driving home late Saturday night. But the meeting was really good! There were a lot of things that the two speakers were talking about that I could really relate to! I really enjoyed it. But the funny thing that you don't see too often - during the sacrament service there was a bat flying around and swooping down low. I was amazed at how quiet the congregation remained, besides a few giggles here and there. Gotta love the Fishlake Branch!

Sunday we just spent time relaxing and taking a nap, of course. It was a nice relaxing day.

On Monday I was hoping we'd get to go fishing again, but the wind was blowing and it was still snowing off and on. So we packed up and headed home.

My brother. Yep girls, he's single!
My sister JaKell and her husband Brandon.
It was a fun weekend. I had a lot more stories to tell, but I have lost them all. My memory doesn't retain well. :P Oh well. If blogger would let me upload pictures, it would be a lot easier. lol This post has taken me like two hours! :P So I think I am done for now!! Ha ha!
Home sweet home! I love this valley!

Class of 2008!

Lets start with graduation!

It was fun to go and see Chet and Kelsey graduate!  We are so proud of both of them!  It was fun to spend time with family and friends and celebrate a great accomplishment!

Almost there . . .
Tada!  Can you believe Chet is old enough to graduate?  I can't believe it either!  Congrats Bud!Smile!  (He wasn't much for smiling up there!  Dad had to yell "SMILE" but I guess he still didn't hear, so at least we got a smirk!
And cute Kelsey!  I can't believe that when I met her for the first time, she was in middle school!  Time flies!  Congrats Kels.
It was a super busy, but fun day!  Before graduation we went over the Kelsey's house and had a family luncheon.  Jer had made 5 super yummy salads!  After graduation we went to Wingers with my family and Dustyn and I ate as fast as we possibly could in order to get to SSHS graduation on time.  The graduation at SSHS was long.  :P  The keynote speakers were long winded.  But we survived.

Here is a picture of Dustyn chillin' in line shaking the graduates hands ( I was really really far away, so it's not the best picture).  The student just happens to be Whitney, Kelsey's cousin.  Dustyn enjoyed having her in class, although there are times I am pretty sure she did not enjoy him.  Ha ha. :)  But she was the first student to send Dustyn a graduation announcement since he started teaching.  It made him feel special.  Congrats Whitney!
And one more of the entire (well almost) graduating class of SSHS.

Memorial Day Weekend

This is one of my most favorite weekends! Of course school is out, so that helps. But ever since I was born my family has had a family reunion. I have only missed it a couple of times in my life. One of those times was last year. I was pretty bummed, so I am glad I get to go this year.  And I am excited to try out our new tent!  And to go FISHING!

I have to much to do today! And here I am - blogging!

Congrats to Chet and Kelsey for graduating! Wooohooo!

We are going to go to a luncheon at Noon for Kelsey. Then at two it is Chet and Kelsey's Graduation. Then Dustyn has to attend the graduation of the school where he works. That is at 5:30. Then we are off to Fishlake! YAY! I am really excited!

I guess I better go get busy.  I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!  I know I will!  :)

Laters!

Happy Birthday Nicole!

Nicole and I have been friends since we were in middle school.  We were basically inseparable.  If Nicole wasn't around, no one would recognize me.  They all would want to know were Nicole was.  It always made me laugh.

So here are my top ten favorite memories of Nicole.
*State Basketball in Cedar.
*When she dumped a 22oz Mountain Dew on my head while I was driving.  *edit*  Nicole is right!  I messed up my own memory!  It was a 22oz in my lap.  ( And I thought it was pretty much the whole thing - but I may be wrong).
*When my car horn went off in front of her parents house in the middle of the night.  It was stuck, there was no stopping it.
*Dried spaghetti in the refrigerator.
*Walking in the ditches all around Ephraim in the middle of a rain storm.
*Making spaghetti sauce.   And nasty tacos.
*Her mom walking in and seeing her sitting on the couch with a boy in Ephraim.
*Dragging Main in the station wagon and TJ losing a box of oil.
*Old Faithful - Root Beer style.
*Brandon L, Clint, Chris , Robear, Bob, Neanderthal, Pete, Carl, TJ, Willy, and last but not least - The bog of eternal stench.
I know this is only a few.  There are many, many, many more.

Happy Birthday Nicole!

Anyone else excited for this?

Superpowers?

Your Superpower Should Be Mind Reading

You are brilliant, insightful, and intuitive.

You understand people better than they would like to be understood.

Highly sensitive, you are good at putting together seemingly irrelevant details.

You figure out what's going on before anyone knows that anything is going on!

Why you would be a good superhero: You don't care what people think, and you'd do whatever needed to be done

Your biggest problem as a superhero: Feeling even more isolated than you do now

My most favorite . . .

baby stuff. I think they have the cutest clothes and fun stuff for kids. Love it!

Boon.

I am trying to convince Dustyn I need that high chair someday. Ha ha! I can dream, right?

Bwah-ha-ha

You Are Jasmine!

Independent and adventurous. You don't want much; just to break out of the guilded cage society has put you in and experience life to the fullest. Following orders isn't really one of your strong points, and you would rather live a life of poverty than being forced into something that you hate.

Which Disney Princess Are You?

How did they know?

I was going to tell Dustyn. He guessed before I even said anything. Ha ha!

What . . .

Tryen is 5 years old?
Happy Birthday Buddy!  I hope you have a great one!

My middle name.

Tagged by Christie

Put your middle name and then for each letter, tell something about yourself!  If you don't have a middle name you can use your maiden name or you can make up your own middle name.  Ha ha.

L - Love. Of course it has to be love. Right now the top three loves in my life are: 1) Dustyn. He is such an amazing husband! He helps me out with EVERYTHING! He works hard and takes care of our little family. 2) Adoption! I am so excited to help our family grow through adoption. It is such an amazing experience and blessing to us and to many, many around us. 3) My Family and the Gospel. My family is amazing. They are always there to support and love us through our little trials in life. We have such a close family on both sides. We are lucky. We love you all!

E - Excited. I am always excited about something! But right now I am excited for Summer, 4th of July, Concerts, Dustyn getting home from work (In less than TWO hours! Woohoo), Camping, Vacations, and of course, Adopting! Of course there are many, many more.

E - Eternal Family. I love that we are an eternal family.  I love that my sweet husband took me to the Temple to be married for All Time and Eternity.  I love that we can go to the Temple often and serve our Heavenly Father.  I love that through the Gospel with can be with our Hannah again.  I love knowing that through our obedience we can be together forever.

I tag anyone who wants to play!

Weird

So I was messing around at work and got into Bloggers Dashboard. Thats a little strange since I cant view any blogs. Even stranger is that I can write this post without any problems with the district blocking my internet access.

For my mommy.

What's my blog rated?

So I decided to go here and see what our blog was rated. And this was the result.

Okay. That works.

Then I decided to try our youth blog where we post scriptures, stories, talks, etc.

Ha ha. Ironic, huh?

Random blogginess.

Seeing as it is after 1:30AM and I have to get up in less than 6 hours . . . this is going to be short.  :P

But I thought I would share a picture or two and say Good Night.

Cute Kids

Beautiful Skies

New Hair

(yeah, I know.  Crappy pictures.  Oh well. But you get the idea.  Maybe I will take some tomorrow.)
Good Night.  Have a fabulous Thursday!
