Just some fun clips!

I think it looks like fun! :)
In case anyone was wondering what I was talking about - here is a clip of the Blue Man Group. Or this one . . .

And . . . one of BlastI want to go to Blast again! It was awesome!!!

Happy Valentines Day to Us!

Dustyn and I are taking an early Valentines Day this weekend! I am SO excited!

We are going to Salt Lake City to see the Blue Man Group! I can't wait!!I have wanted to see them for so long! We went to Blast a few years ago and it was amazing!!

Giving it Back

So I was telling you all before about what the High School that Dustyn teaches at does to raise money. They have a program called "Giving it Back". Well it has come to an end and I guess they ended up raising about $5,000.00 (if I am guessing correctly). They had the giving it back assembly yesterday. Dustyn usually dresses up (in a costume the students provide) and sings a song (if they raise like $2,000.00 or so).
Well they raised enough money - so yesterday he stood in front of the student body dressed like this:
And sang "Popcorn Popping". Why does he always tell me the day AFTER! Come on. It wouldn't hurt to let me be there just once!

Why . . .

Do I think it is Friday today?!?!  It's messin' me up!

Slacker

I know, I have totally slacked off lately. I just haven't really been up to blogging. But I promise to get back into things soon! I was able to stay up all day without hurting too much, so I am getting back on my feet! Yay!! Plus, there is no exciting news in our part of the world. Just the normal everyday stuff. But that's okay too!

Today we get to watch the twins again for the evening!  They are fun!  I am excited!  :)

But today, I have some birthday wishes! Yay for birthdays! (I know I totally miss half of them, and if you are someone that I have missed, forgive me. I still love you more than ever!)

Happy Birthday R'dell!
Sadly, I don't have many pictures of him. :(
Happy Birthday Grandpa Teeples!
Or him. I need to take more pictures of my relatives! (Or as Grandpa Teeples would argue, see them more to take the pictures!!)
Happy Birthday Grandma Dotson!
This is my favorite picture of her imagining what she is ever going to do with that fish! :)
And, Happy Birthday to everyone I have missed!! :)

I hope you have a fabulous day full of fun and surprises! We love you ALL!

Thankful

I have been down in bed for a few days with a bad back.  It's been pretty bad and I am so ready for it to be over.  I don't think I can lay here for much longer.

But I am very thankful for a husband that is taking care of me.  He has had to do everything for me.  And I mean pretty much everything.  Plus he has been cooking dinner, cleaning (at least I think, I haven't been able to get up and see all his accomplishments, but I heard him cleaning the kitchen and doing the dishes) and he is even gone now making my copies of the Sunday Program for tomorrow.  I am super lucky to have him!!  I am not sure I would have made it through without him.  Yeah, I am pretty sure I wouldn't have.

But on a positive note, I was finally able to get up and go to the bathroom all by myself this evening.  That is a HUGE improvement from that past couple of days.  I think I am coming along slowly but surely.  I am hoping to be up and going by Tuesday.  That is a realist goal, isn't it?  I sure hope so!

Dustyn, I love you lots and I am so thankful for all the help that you have given me.  (Believe me, it hasn't been pretty!!)  Thanks for loving me anyways and for always being there for me.  You are a huge blessing in my life and I am so thankful for the opportunity that I have to be your Eternal Companion.  You make even the worst times more than bearable.  I love you!

Babysitting

Dustyn and I baby-sat Malik, Mylee and McKenzie last night and today. They are so cute! They have done really well and it's been fun. Luckily they are napping right now, so I decided to see what has been going on in Blog world.

Here are a few pictures from the past day or so.
-okay. I was going to add pictures, but blogger is not cooperating. So.... I will later.

I hope ya'll are doing well. Not much to report in our world. It's a slow blogging week! But remember, you can always check out all of our Photo-A-Day blogs - and even join in if you would like! It's quite fun! :)

D-U-S-T-Y-N

Tagged by Sharon!

What is his name? Dustyn
How long did you date? Well it was about two weeks when we decided that we were getting married, but three weeks until we were officially engaged. We started dating October 15 and were married January 10th.
How old is he? 31
Who eats more? Depends on what we are eating, but I would have to say him.
Who said "I Love You" first? Dustyn did, but it was pretty much a mutual statement (even after a week of dating!! :) We have decided that I knew before him though!
Who is taller? Maybe Dustyn by an inch . . . on a good day! :)
Who sings better? DUSTYN!! I do not sing!
Who is smarter? Hmmm.... Depends on what we are talking about here. I am so not creative or artistic - and of course he is. (if not, we'd be in trouble). But overall I would have to say he's probably smarter. I like to think that I am, but probably not.
Who does the laundry? I do. Sometimes when I slack off, he picks up the slack.
Who pays the bills? I do. I don't trust his memory. :)
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do.
Who mows the lawn? We both do. I usually mow while he works on other things in the yard. But then there are sometimes where he just does it all!
Who cooks dinner? I do. But he does the dishes while I cook. I figured it was an excellent trade off.
Who drives? Depends on where we are. He likes to drive most of the time, but he scares me sometimes when we are in big cities - so I drive. Mostly in cities I am such a terrible back seat driver, he just gives up and lets me drive. I love driving!
Who is more stubborn? ME for sure.
Who kissed who first? Well it took us about 4 years to decide... be he finally admitted it was him. He said I kissed him, I said he kissed me. Guess it just sorta happened. Gotta love kissing on the first date!! ha ha!
Who asked who out first? I asked Dustyn out. At that point he didn't even know my name. I had tried to talk to him here and there, but he would never cooperate. Finally he agreed to go out with me (still didn't know my name:). We went out, he didn't even talk to me. So I don't count the first date!! :) But a few days later we decided it was meant to be anyways.
Who proposed? Dustyn. Of course, I knew it was coming. He took me to dinner and all through dinner he kept looking under the table and opening and closing a ring box. Funny kid.
Who is more sensitive? Depends on the day. :) Mostly me.
Who has more siblings? I have 3 and he has 6. Who wears the pants? Me. I know, it's bad. But he lets me! :)

Ice Fishing

On Saturday Dustyn, Dad, Chet and I went Ice Fishing. My dad's friend also came along. We went to Yuba Reservoir. Of course, dad still has a cast:
on his ankle, so Chet and Ron pulled him across the lake. Nice!
It was a COLD day. Luckily we had our Ice Fishing Tents. This is the part that makes Ice Fishing fun! We turn on the little heater and get nice and toasty and then just sit back and relax. The fishing was slow. I caught 2, Dustyn caught 2, Dad caught 2 and Chet caught 1. (if I remember correctly). They were all perch. It was a lot of fun. The tent that Dustyn and I were using was the same one that we were using last year. The smells of all the fish we caught and all the bait we used last year sat in there all summer. Lets just say, the smell was less than desirable. Blech. It kinda smelled like the poop pond. :p Yuck.
Of course Dustyn took a nap. I played around with my camera. Not much to photograph in a small Ice Fishing tent, but it was entertaining.
We came home, got warm, and took a nap! That evening we all went to Frontier Village to celebrate Chelle's birthday. It was fun! The twins are getting so big and are so cute. Dustyn and I get to babysit them next week for over night. I am pretty excited!
After we went to Grandma and Grandpa Dotson's for Hot Fudge Sundays and Banana Splits. They were yummy! :)
Happy Birthday Chelle!

I am your brother

We just came from my parents house where we caught up on American Idol.

All I can say is . . . I was crying.

I don't think I have laughed that hard in quite some time.

A day in the Sun . . . Er.. Snow!

We had a good day today! We are still in SLC and have just spent the day wondering. It was great. We started out at the Salt Lake City Museum of Art. They had some really cool exhibits. I'm glad we had the opportunity to go! After that we went to the Gateway and just hung out for a few hours. Of course, mostly in the Apple Store.
I am thinking we were in there for at least an hour and maybe two. We played with the iPhones for quite some time! We are still trying to decide if that is what we want to buy. We have decided that we do need something that is multi-functional that will contain the details of our lives. I don't want to carry a planner, and I am horrible at calendars. So we are still playing with the idea for a future day. After we left Apple, we went to Verizon to check out the Samsung, LG, Verizon and Blackberry smart phones. Well, as much as I tried, I just couldn't figure them out. It was frustrating. It seems that the iPhone is far more user friendly. Who knows. Anyways . . . we also went to AT&T to see if they could tell us how good the service is in Richfield. They told us it was great. . . I am not sure if I believe them. I still haven't met anyone in Richfield with AT&T Service, so I am a little nervous about that. But they say it has "best" service where we live, so we shouldn't have any problems. Hmmm...... Who knows.

We also went to Anthropologies. I LOVE that store. It is such a fun store to window shop in! LOVE it!! We also found some great books. There is one that I would LOVE to share... but Dustyn is going to try his hand at the idea, so I will let you know soon when Dustyn is finished! :)
Of course we had to go check out the Fountains! It was a lot of fun! They still have the water on and it was snowing. Too funny!
We also went to Olive Garden and had salad and bread sticks. YUM! Soooo gooood!
After we wondered around all day, we went to Target. Perfect ending to a perfect day! :) Then we went to Rumbi for dinner.
That was our day.
Wait. . . I forgot!!! Can't forget the trash can in Famous Footwear. I think I am trusting them and avoiding that! LOL!
And my favorite sign for the day! YAY! Thanks for the fabulous instructions!!

Our Night Out

So Dustyn and I decided to drive to SLC for the night.  Just a break to get out of Richfield.  Of course we went and ate at the . . .

I LOVE the Cheesecake Factory!  I am excited that we don't have to go to Vegas every time we are craving a delicious piece of . . .
RASPBERRY LEMON CHEESECAKE!!!  YUM!!  It was so good.  I think I am going to have to go get another piece for breakfast!   :)  But we had some good food!

Now I am exhausted and SO FULL!  I ate TOO much!  But how often do days like this come around!  LOL!  I looking forward to tomorrow when I don't feel so full!  :)  But, boy was it good!

Happy Anniversary to us!

Thanks everyone! :) I'd scan some nice pictures in, but this is all that you get for the moment! :)

It's finally snowing a little!

Yes, that's right! Snow in Richfield! I hear there is about 2 inches already! You would think that I would be excited! And I am! But . . . my joints hurt so bad! I don't think I got any sleep last night and I can barely move this morning. I hate that! Hopefully they loosen up soon! Aren't I such a complainer?!?!

Hope ya'll have a great day! I am off to Science Class! yay!

2008 Photo Challenge!

*Remember*  It's not to late to join in on the 2008 Photo-A-Day / Week Challenge.  It is a lot of fun and I am learning a lot already.  It's always nice to see what other people were thinking when they were contemplating the subject at hand.  It gives you a new look on plain ordinary things.  Anything can become a interesting photo!

So far we have 3 brave souls!  RuthanneJan, and Dustyn.  And of course, Me.  If you would like to join, just leave me your blog address and I will add you to the list!  :)  It's a lot of fun!  You can do it as much as you like or as little.  If you miss a day or two or ten, we won't be mad.  I promise.  And if you start and decide it not as fun as I made it sound... no biggie!  We'll still love ya!

If you want to see the schedule, you can like on Kamie's World in 365 Photos or more details!

Kellie Coffey

A few months ago I bought Kellie Coffey's album "Walk On" on iTunes.   I have always been a huge fan of Kellie Coffey, so I didn't think anything of it.  Well there was one song on there that hit home for me. I was going to share it and never did.  Today as I was searching random blogs, I found a blog that had posted the song!! (I'm sure most of my adoption friends have already seen it!:D)  It was from YouTube, so I thought I would share.

I really think I need these!
