Now that it looks like this outside

It can officially be Christmas, right?
(of course there is a whole heck of a lot more snow than that out there today)

So I decided to show you my Christmas decor. :)

This is something that my grandparents made for me. My grandma did the picture and grandpa Dotson made the frame. I am so glad we have little things like this around our house to remind us of them.

The plate is a neighbor gift from the best neighbor ever. ;)

The bear and snow globe is a gift that Korin gave Gage. She had the snow globe engraved for him. I love it. I love seeing reminders of her around our house too.

This is our nativity. Dustyn's mom gave it to us a few Christmases ago. I love that it's something that Gage can handle when he gets older. I love that I think of Dustyn's mom when I see it.

This is my favorite Santa night light. I love it. Again, from the best neighbor ever.

Our stockings. My aunt made them for us when we were married. I hope to make Gage a stocking someday. If not, I like his too!

We're Back....

What a beautiful day!

This was the scene when I went out side this morning! It was beautiful. A fresh blanket of snow on the earth and low lying fog. You seriously couldn't even see a block away. Half a block was pushing it, but it sure was beautiful.

As soon as I got to my Aunt's house, the fog lifted and disappeared like that. It was crazy. I am glad I had 10 minutes to see how beautiful it was.

I can tell today is going to be a special day. Especially for this couple. You guys are in our thoughts and prayers today. We hope everything goes perfect today and in the days to come!

More Snow!

It is seriously snowing! And big wet flakes at that. It's sorta fun! :) I bet we'll have a few inches in the morning.

Nice thing about tomorrow, it's State Basketball and SSHS plays in the AM, so they decided not to start school until 11:30. Nice! We so get to sleep in! Yay! I am excited!

But for right now - my feet are FREEZING! They are always ICE cold. It is pretty painful. I try to put socks on or put a blanket on and that just makes them clammy and even colder! Oh the dilemmas! It's a good thing Dustyn lets me warm my feet on his. And don't worry, he LOVES it.

Another random issue that I have with my feet . . . when I want to go to sleep, they start itching like CRAZY! They never itch any other time, just when I am laying down to sleep. It is like unbearable itching too! So annoying! I spend at least an hour scratching them and trying to let it calm enough so I can quickly fall asleep before I go crazy. It drives me nuts. It just started about a year ago, but I can't find anything to relieve it. I don't have any dry patches, or athletes foot or anything. They just don't like me to sleep.

Anyone have any suggestions? I would be more than happy to help my feet out. I would love to fall asleep an hour earlier! :P Until then, I will survive! :)

It's finally snowing a little!

Yes, that's right! Snow in Richfield! I hear there is about 2 inches already! You would think that I would be excited! And I am! But . . . my joints hurt so bad! I don't think I got any sleep last night and I can barely move this morning. I hate that! Hopefully they loosen up soon! Aren't I such a complainer?!?!

It's snowing!!

(or it was!) We might have got a good inch or so! YAY! It's still not much!! But for this valley, I have decided it is quite a good amount! Sad, huh?

Ice Fishing!

We are so excited for it to be Ice Fishing Season!! We were thinking about going tomorrow and trying out dad's new gas Ice Auger. But there is a storm rolling in and it is suppose to be a good one! There is a possibility of a few inches in the valleys. Of course it seems like all the snow and rain just kinda skip over our little valley.... so we more than likely won't get much.

You would think that would be a good thing... for the weather to skip over us and to have a mild winter, but at the same time, if we are going to have the below freezing temperatures, we might as well have the snow to go along with the temps! :)

It was nice today, in the lower 50's. But right now the wind is blowing like crazy. I am hoping that our trees and house are still standing in the morning.

Other than that... not much happening around here today.

I am super excited to watch American Idol soon. It is tempting to get our dish hooked up again or get cable so we can watch. How lame am I? But I am thinking we will just end up at Mom and Dad's house on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. I hate when I get so consumed into watching a TV show. It seems silly. But I sure enjoy it anyways! As long as it is only one show that I just can't miss.

Well I guess enough of this rambling. I will be back when I actually have something to say. :)

the Weekend

It was a pretty good weekend. Friday when I got finished with school, we came home and packed and headed for SLC. On Saturday we attended my Uncle Jeff's funeral. It was a really nice funeral and I am glad I was able to attend. All of the kids talked and I was proud of them all. I don't think I could have done that. It was so good to see them all. It's been a long time. We drove home on Saturday afternoon to attend the burial in Elsinore. It was cold and snowing. But it was really nice.

Afterwards we went to my Grandma's house and hung out. CamRee, Tryen and Hadi drove to Richfield with Dustyn, Mom and I. It was so fun to see them. We played all evening. They are going home today. I miss them!

It's COLD!!

It has been so cold lately! I am glad it's not hot and it's cooling off, but man, oh man. It's cold! I am not ready to turn on the heater yet! So here I sit on a Sunday afternoon in my bed trying to get warm! Brrr...

Whatever happened to Spring and Fall! I bet it will warm up soon though. At least we didn't get snow like the northern part of the state! Ha ha!

Soup is definitely on the menu for dinner!!

Fall!!

I am LOVING this cool weather! It is so nice! We went to FishLake again this weekend and it was as pretty as ever! I love FishLake! It is suppose to snow in the mountains tonight! Yah!! I am so excited!

This has been a good weekend. We are just heading north. We are going to visit Dustyn's mom and maybe go window shopping for fall decor! We'll be back tomorrow! So until then... audios!

Deal or No Deal.

So I was just watching DEAL OR NO DEAL and it was pretty funny/sad episode. She had pretty bad luck. Basically worked backwards on the cases. Maybe she didn't understand the concept!! :) Just kidding! The last two cases were $10 and .01¢. Her last offer was $6 She was praying for the .01¢ to be in her case to just finish off her day. But unfortunatly she had the $10. After taxes... man, she might be able to get a Value Meal at a fast food restaurant. Poor Girl. That would be what would happen to me if I were to be on the show! I'm not so lucky! Poor girl!

So I heard that the weather is suppose to change in the next few days... The wind has been terrible today. We were outside eating with my family and the wind blew so hard it knocked Camo over. Hee hee. Jace heard that it is suppose to snow down to 6000 feet. Good thing we are at 5300ft. Maybe we will just get some rain! I HOPE SO!! But it is nice to have it a little cooler outside. We haven't even had to turn on our swamp cooler today! Nice!

SNOW!

Look at this spring weather, what the crap! I guess there is 17 inches at Cove Fort! Seriously! Enough with the snow... just kidding, it's alright with me. It's actually snowing harder than this picture shows, but you get the idea, since you probably have more snow than us!

SNOW!!

It's been snowing for the past two hours or so. There isn't much accumulating, but it's still snowing. It's not even sticking to the ground yet. I love the snow! Although I am looking forward to spring, if that makes any sense. At least when there is snow it covers up our ugly yard! Another thing that makes me happy that it's almost spring is the fact that there is still a little bit of light left when I get off work! I mean it may only be 30 minutes, but that is 30 minutes longer than I have had for a LONG time. I hate getting off work when it's dark! It's kinda depressing! Yah for DAYLIGHT!

Well I thought i would post some of the pictures from our nursery! It's fun getting ready for a baby! We haven't worked on the nursery for awhile, but hopefully we'll get back in the swing of things and get it done!
