Gage speaks farm.
Remember this Friends episode?
That is what I think of every time Gage demonstrates what a cow says. :)
I can never get the horse impression on video. Believe me. It's just as funny.

What-I-would-have-said-on-Facebook Friday.
- I just ate a sloppy joe on a hotdog bun. Not too shabby. Less mess. Who knew.
- OH! I remember the third thing I miss about Facebook. That is how most family and friends know I have updated my blog. That means I lost a lot of readers. I guess they will find me if they wanna. :)
- I love me some snow on a nice warm April day. No yard work for me today. :) (btw - I am kidding)
- mmm... Slush from the dairy. Good Saturday!
- Dinner: fish tacos. My favorite. Oh, and a side of stuffed chayote. Not really my favorite.
- Fun bountiful basket today. We had stuffed chayote for dinner. It was okay. I don't know if I would but it at the store. Trying new things is always fun. I think I may go cut up the star fruit now and try it.
- We survived our first day at church without a binki and it went really well. Yipee!
- Gage decided it was a sit, rock, snack and watch tv sort of day. It's not like I can refuse him. I can clean tomorrow. (These teeth are a killer. I think he is currently getting four of them)
- I found 20 bucks today. Score! Maybe I should use my sunglasses case more often. (but then I wouldn't have $20 today!)

What-I-would-have-said-on-Facebook Friday.
- So, steam mops. I hear they rawk. Tell me more. I am thinking about doing my own mother's day shopping and I need some ideas on what I am looking for. BEFORE I go crazy. I just can't handle the dirty floors. (4/1 1:51PM)
- I love the door open in the spring! I put up the baby gate so that Gage doesn't ruin my screen. It's awesome. Gage on the other hand, will not tolerate it. Everytime he sees the door open, he quickly crawls over and shuts it. (4/1 1:56PM)
- Day three down. We almost didn't make it. (4/1 9:12PM)
- I have had a lot of "facebook worthy" thoughts this week. I have not been good at writing them down. Oh well.
- There are two things I miss about facebook. Okay, maybe three.
- I have no idea what is going on in anyone's lives. For the most part, it's kind of nice. (one of the main reason I quit facebook? When I was finding myself angry or frustrated over something that someone else had posted that had nothing to do with me. That is when I decided it was time to move on) I guess if it's important, it will end up on their blog, I hope. I have no idea when anyones birthdays are, what their email addresses are. I relied too much on facebook to inform me.
- I can't enter giveaways where you have to "like" the company before you can enter. boo.
- Is it bad that I already forgot the last one? I swear I had three in my head.
- There are a lot of things that I love about it.
- I clean more.
- I cook more.
- I feel less guilty.
- I have more patience.
- I feel better about myself. (although on studio 5 they made a comment about if you have a bad self image, you just go to your personal facebook profile and look at it. Your best self is portrayed. It makes you feel better)
- I feel accomplished.
- I am more motivated.
- I feel like I can conquer hard things.
- I watch movies/TV with Dustyn instead of playing on facebook while he watches them.
- I realize that most people have healthy facebook obsessions. I just hated that I was checking it multiple times a day. Lame.
- I wish I could figure out what we wanna do for Easter. I wanna go out of town. My nephew is getting home from his mission and is reporting on Easter Sunday. At least we have something planned! :)
- Gage will take 2 or 3 steps. We are so close to having a walking toddler.
- So thankful for Jace and Katie watching Gage last night. Thanks you two!
- I need to go through all of Gage's clothes and sort out everything. It's hard that baby clothes sizes and seasons don't mix for the next babe or to hand me down. It's tricky.
- It's sad to be going through all the baby stuff and sending it on it's way. It makes me wonder if we will ever have a need for it again. I wish we had an excuse to keep ahold of it all.
- I need my own sticker chart. That might be happening in the near future. :)

thirty.
This is my friend, Evonne.
I seriously love her. (in case you were unaware)
She is one of my most favorite people. ever.
She is there for me when I need someone to talk to.
I know I can call her anytime at a moments notice.
I can tell her anything and know that she does not judge me.
I can be myself around her and it's okay.
Everyone needs a friend like Evonne.
It's her 30th birthday today.
Hooray for birthdays!
You should go wish her HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Happy Birthday Evonne.
I hope thirty is the best yet!

when he is suppose to be sleeping...
there isn't much sleeping going on.
For the past few days we have heard this over and over and over again.
I was hoping i would catch him in action, but I wasn't quiet enough, I guess.
He opens that little green door and shuts it. Over and over. Of course I could turn off the sound, but that's no fun. He probably did it for half of an hour yesterday. It made me laugh. I guess he has gotten bored of it today. I've tried several times to get a video of it.
Oh yes. Don't forget the teeth marks where hetried succeeded in taking a bite out of the crib. Awesome.

the new blog title?
I needed something new.
Something for the new me! (getting rid of facebook made me a new person. A person that I like)
I had zero ideas.
I started looking at lyrics to songs. Jack Johnson songs in particular.
I came across this line and laughed.
I told Evonne.
We talked about numerous different attempts at blog titles.
None of them seem to fit.
I kept thinking about those times when we are at Walmart or somewhere and I can see people giggling as I struggle to contain Gage (he is NOT easily contained. It takes a lot to keep him in my arms). I always wonder if they are laughing at me, or with me.
It fit.
Evonne thought it was the best we'd come up with all night. As did Landon.
I was sold.
Oh, and feel free to laugh at me.
I do it all the time.

friends, the best kind.
I have a lot of really, really good friends.
Some of my best friends I have met through blogging. Who knew, right?
I have met Evonne (Gage's shirt in the previous post is from Evonne! I loves you forever!) and Aubrey in real life. I absolutely love them. They are two of the best friends a gal could have. They have both changed my life for the better. I am so grateful for friends.
I must meet Kenna, and soon. I can not get enough of her. Plus, Gage needs to meet her handsome son. They must be friends. (along with Vin, of course)
My adoption friends are awesome. Arianne, Ashley, Jill, Ron and Jessica, Julie, Stephanee (who is hoping to adopt!), Cali, Brenley, Kim and Karsten (who are hoping to adopt!) and so, so many more.
I really could go on and on. Aren't blogging friends the best?
Heather is one of those blogging friends.
Heather and I have been blogging friend for three, maybe almost four years. I think we met through Sarah (who is getting married in October! So excited for her!) who found me because I posted a Friends video from youtube, I think. I don't know, we'd have to have Sarah fill us in there. :) At least that is where I received her first comment.
Now here is where I wish I could post the picture of us meeting for the first time, but sadly... that hasn't happened. Yet.
Heather lives 14,457 miles away (says Google Maps, anyways. :))
Even though she lives half of a world away, she always has a way of making her friends feel special and loved. She is one of the most giving and loving people I have ever met.
When Gage was born, she sent him a package.
It had a Koala, two cute, cute shirts (I think they have the best clothes in Australia!), and three books.
(I have pictures of Gage in his cute shirts somewhere, but for the moment, I can't seem to locate them. I just recently deleted all the photos off my computer)

(the other one is the orange and grey stripped shirt with the robo-pup at 10:42 on his one year old video! Ha ha)
For Christmas, Heather sent Gage this Crocodile (you need to see it in action) and a Koala book.

For Gage's First Birthday, Heather send the cutest outfit ever, an Emu and an Edward the Emu book. :)

Thank you so much Heather. Thank you for your friendship. Thank you for being you. Your packages mean the world to us and Gage loves them. We are grateful to know you!

one year old.
I can't believe my baby is one year old.

Why? Cause it's the cool thing to do.
The real reason? I fell in love with Bakerella's Pirate Cake Pops. Enter pirate party.

We had Gage's birthday party at the swimming pool. We had found out a few weeks earlier that he loved swimming. Perfect. We rented the pool and had a great time.

Gage loved his new floaty thing. He loved playing with the pirate ducks. (Every pool party needs a rubber duck!)

But not the splashing. :)

We invited our immediate family and we were happy to have so many people there.
(we didn't take many photos at the pool because it was too humid in there and the lens kept fogging up)
We had lots of food. (pirates eat sandwiches)
Cake pops. Yum.
And LOTS of presents. Seriously. How can such a small kid have so many toys. He needs a bigger bedroom. And soon.

We ran out of time (we were having too much fun swimming) so we moved the party on over to my Grandma's house. So thankful for her. (Thank you Grandma!!) She saved the day.
He was not what you would call, interested, in opening the presents.

Soon enough it was time for the cake. I made pudding for the icing, just to hopefully prevent the kid from getting too sick. He seemed to like it. I was a little bummed that it turned more and more yellow.

I think he enjoyed the cake. :)

Thank you for helping us celebrate one year of Gage. Best year ever.

Here is the video of Gage eating his cake. I realize that it's probably not that exciting for you, but just in case you are interested. :)
