happy 900th post

Today was a pretty fabulous day.

I didn't get everything accomplished that I wanted to, but I got to spend time with my family. That is all that really matters.

Gage of course was looking extra cute, as always. He sweats so much and sucks on his fingers and starts smelling mighty pretty. I can't even believe how stinky his little toes can get. He was starting to smell like a dirty sock so we gave him a bath today. (We usually bath him every 2 or 3 days. I guess since it's summer we are going to have to bump that up.) The exciting thing about this? He gets to wear two outfits in one day! Now of course this means more laundry for me, but there is a chance he just might get to wear all of his clothes before he grows out of them.  He has a lot of 3-6 month clothes. It's fun to have so many options.

He's just too cute.

Brandon, JaKell and the kids are in town visiting for the 4th of July. We are excited that JaKell is expecting in Feb 2011! Gage will have a cousin fairly close in age on my side! Hooray! (He has quite a few on Dustyn's side) Not only will he have one new cousin, but two!! Jace and Katie are also expecting early 2011 as well! We are so excited for all the new cousins!

We went to my parents house for a bbq and to visit with family.

The kids were having fun in the sprinklers.

Tryen was just telling me how cold he wasIMG_2020
when sneaky Grandpa slipped a little ice in his shorts.IMG_2024
It was then he figured out that he really was cold.

Gage will not smile for cameras. He stops the minute he sees one. It's quite funny. We were trying to get him to smile and this was the look he was giving us.IMG_2029I wish he were in focus. :(IMG_2030Followed by this look.IMG_2031Almost a smile!IMG_2038 Of course Grandpa can get him to smile.IMG_2046IMG_2044

Gage decided that he was getting tired and was ready to go home. We loaded him up in the stroller and he settled right in. We thought he'd be asleep in seconds.IMG_2088
Nope, Wrong. He was suddenly wide awake.IMG_2089IMG_2090
Off we go!

Life at the Circus

Last week (okay, maybe it was a week and a half ago) Dustyn and I had the opportunity to go see Cam in her first grade program. Where they live, the program is a huge thing. They have had the same program for like 30 years. (i don't really know how long) They do a large circus... all out with stilts and all!  :)

It was fun to go up and visit. It was a real quick trip though. The sad part... we got stuck in construction traffic. Cam was the 2nd act. We pulled into the high school and I called my sister to figure out how to get in. Cam was just heading on stage to preform. We tried to hurry as quick as possible but got to the gym as she was walking off stage. I was pretty bummed we missed her main performance. It was still fun and she did a fabulous job! Here are some pictures from the event.

(Cam is the one on the back row in white with the white feathers on her head! :) )
Thanks for inviting us Cam! We are so proud of you! We love you!

r-r-r-random!

Things have been going well for Dustyn and I. Poor Dustyn has been quite sick lately. He has a doctors appointment today. I hope that they figure something out and get him back on to the road to health soon!

On a good note: Dustyn finally finished the yearbook! YAY! I know that will relieve a LOT of stress. Hopefully that will help him get better quicker as well.

We were able to go up the the Mt. Timpanogos Temple and attend Brandon and JaKell's sealing. It was a great experience and I was happy that we were able to go. The Temple was beautiful and peaceful! Dustyn was able to take some photos of Brandon and JaKell and family. We haven't downloaded them yet, but I am excited to see how they turned out. Dustyn had to get yearbook done before he could get to them. Dang responsibilities.

On Saturday night we went to the Desert Star Theater and watch Home School Musical. It was hilarious and I would totally recommend it to anyone. We love it. It was my first play at the Desert Star and I can guarantee it won't be the last. I am seriously tempted to get season passes next year. I really enjoyed it! Another random thing happened while we were there... They read birthdays of everyone there and sing a song for the them! One of the birthdays that they read was my Uncle Sheldon. (This was after the play was over) I would have never known he was there unless his name was read. They were on the very front row, so I ran down and said Hello! It was quite funny! And random!

I am SO ready for spring! Mostly just because I am itching to go camping! I can't wait for our weekly outings. It is for sure my most favorite part about summer. Otherwise I wouldn't mind the snow.

I am in the weirdest blogging mood lately. I want to blog, but I just don't want to! Ha ha! I am sorry I have not been reading/commenting on anyones blogs. I hope to get back into the swing of things soon. Maybe life will slow down a little and I will take time to blog.

Speaking of blogging and my last post (well... not the last one, but the Paying it Forward one) I have something coming together.. I will get it to you within the next little while. I am excited to see what you think! (As long as it goes how I want it to). If you are still interested in getting in on the action... leave me a comment and I will see what I can do.

Umm... that is all for now. :)

4th of July!

So many pictures!  Where to begin.  (This isn't even the tip of the iceberg, but it's all I will bore you with!  :)

We had an awesome Holiday weekend!  Our hometown has the best 4th of July ever.  There are so many fun traditions that we get to participate in every year.  And that we have participated in for nearly 29 years (for me anyways)!  So much fun!
On the 3rd, we went to the Children's Parade.  My mom had a Jewelry booth, so we helped her set up and chilled there for the afternoon.
Tryen and Hadi
We also went to the Diaper Derby.
Here is Mattie in the race.
Everyone had lots of fun at the Climbing Wall.
Chelle and CindyKenz
And just chillin' and visiting.  The kids had fun running around.
Afterwards we went to my Grandma D's house and had a double birthday party for two of my cute cousins, Carly and Mattie!  It so fun to get together with everyone at least once a year.

The 4th was awesome, as usual.  I totally love the 4th of July.  First off we had the 21 (i think) cannon salute at 6:00AM.  A tradition that I have LOVED since I was a child.  At that moment at 6:00AM, it is officially the 4th of July.  When we were kids (up until I got married-sleeping outside on the tramp does not excite Dustyn when there is a nice comfy bed inside!) we always slept outside so we could hear the cannons better.  Of course it is so loud you can hear it anywhere in the valley.  I am sure most people don't want to be woke up at 6AM on a holiday, but it's my most favorite alarm clock of the entire year.

Next we have the Parade!  This year Dustyn and I rode with my Grandpa D in the Parade.  It was so much fun to see everyone.  Of course no one recognized me, so it was funny!  Here I am yelling their names and they are looking at me going - ME?  By the time we were almost past most of them realized who I was.  We were pretty bummed we weren't able to throw candy this year.   But it was fun to ride in the new diesel.  There were so many people there this year!  Crazy! (Of course I didn't even take any pictures.  Sad.)

On to all the festivities of the park.  There is a lot of food and kids games and lots of visiting friends who you haven't seen for-ev-er!  My family always has a spot on the west side of the park, but this year we hung out at my mom's booth.  It was a little weird not being over there.  :)  No one knew where to find me!  :)

Of course we have the kid races and the Fish Grab.  Fun times.
Here is the pools before the fish:
With fish (500 pounds):
And with kids:
There were some seriously big fish!
Yum - Cotton Candy!
Some more random pictures.
Trying to stay COOL!My Grandparents.CamRee tried out the Mechanical Bull. Good Job CamRee! You are so brave!
After the park, we went to my Grandparents house for dinner and fireworks.  This is my "See, I am smiling" picture. We ate some yummy food and had lots of fun.  The kids ran through the sprinklers and played on the swing set and went on 4-wheeler rides.  We didn't take too many pictures during the day.  Weird, I know.  But we did get a few for you to enjoy.
Getting ready for the AMAZING fireworks! It was a great show this year. We always have the best fireworks! We stopped by to see Dustyn's sis Jer and R'dell. They were getting ready for the fireworks too. Best seats in town!

Dustyn and I tried to get a good picture so we could make some pass-along cards.  Jace is quite the photographer, huh?  (okay, so we were goofing off too much.  I am not sure if it is possible for us to have serious faces.) Yes, we are dorks.
