Anyone else loving the rain?

I sure am!
But I wish it would rain a little more around here.
The rain has made everything so beautiful and green.
(this is the town where I love. Right there in the top left of the photo)
I love it.

How much I LOVE General Conference?

How much I LOVE Eternal Families?

How much I LOVE adoption?

How much I LOVE hope?

Rain!!

By the way... it is raining again! Man I wish I could send some of this rain to Utah. I am pretty sure they have had more rain since we have been here than Utah has had for the year. Poor Utah. I guess that is why Pennsylvania is green and Utah is not! :)

Good Night everyone!!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Storm

Yesterday we drove into Pittburgh. We had to go get a new rental.. long story for a different post! :) While we were at the Airport it looked like there was a huge storm pass thru, but we didn't get to see it. But after we got the car we decided to go find a Wal-Mart. Apparently there was a major storm pass through right before we got there. There were braches all over the road. We turned down one street just to find out that a huge tree had fallen right into the middle of the road. We got closer to the Wal-Mart and suddenly we realized that all of the power was out. It was getting pretty dark at this point. No one was stopping at the stop lights. It was somewhat chaotic. Big city, no power... not a good idea.

Well the closer we got, there were trees laying all over, downed power lines all over and a huge puddle. There was a section of the road that had to have a good 8 inches of water or more. It was crazy. Of course we got to Wal-Mart and they were closed becuase there was no power. The whole city was dark. It was kinda weird. Across the street there was a strip of restaurants that still had power. So we went across the street and ate. I think they were getting ready to close down... and got a rush of customer because they were one of the few only ones that still had power.

It was kinda weird driving in the dark with no stop light, street lights or anything. You would be driving and then all of a sudden there would be a huge tree in the road. Here is one of the trees that we saw.

It was crazy. I have never seen anything like that before. I kinda felt like I was in the middle of a natural disaster. Of course we would never have that sort of disaster in Richfield. Although I did dream last night that most of Richfield burned up. Of course, out yard went up in flames in a matter of seconds! I bet it is super dry now!

Departing Flight!

Well the time is finally coming near to go home. It's been a great 4 hours in the airport! But I am glad it's almost time to board. Well we are on time as of now.... so we will be in Vegas at 10:15... but it just started raining.... so who knows if there will be a delay or not. No word as of yet. I just wanted to let Carrie and Rodney know, just in case they checked my blog for info. If we are delayed... we will let you know!

YAY for rain. I wish Utah got rain! No wonder it's green here and brown in Utah. Blah.

So YAY for 100 posts!! Woowhooo!!! I blog too much!

See ya'll soon!

. . . opolis

Today we went to see "Fallingwater". It was super neat. I am so glad we noticed it was in Pennsylvania! It is something that I always wanted to see but never thought I would actually get the chance (I thought it was in an exotic land or something, not PA). It was amazing! Frank Lloyd Wright is my hero! We got there and it was a busy day... so we ended up waiting about 2 hours and then the tour was about an hour. The drive up there was so beautiful. Everything is so green and so pretty. There are a lot of fun little towns along the way. After we climed numerous hills, we actually were up to an elevation of 2300ft. Of course Richfield is like 5300ft.. so just a little bit of a difference. Pittsburgh is about 1200ft. But I took some pictures... but the camera is in the car and I don't want to go get it... so later.

We drove back to our hotel in Coraopolis... and it started raining. It was a great rain, lightening and thunder and wind. The rain came down good. I have seen it rain like that once in Richfield/Utah and that was about 4 years ago. It was cool. Everything is so humid. I love humid weather. I am ready to move to Pennsylvania right now. I love the green and the weather. I of course would live away from the city on a township or something... but it is so nice here!

We went to dinner at Bahama Breeze. It was pretty good... but our waiter was terrible. But at least the food was good.

I will get some pictures up soon.

I think the names of the towns here are so funny. It's like they add "opolis" to anything to make a name. Or township. I need to read up on townships, I don't really know what they are... Or borough. I need to do some reading.

Well that is about all for now...

Later!!
