fortune, anyone?

We went to a chinese restaurant on Saturday with the rest of my family.

The waitress gave me two fortune cookies.
They were both great fortunes.

One was that I would walk on the sand of many countries through out my life (or something like that). I have no problems with that at all. I love to travel.

The next one said that I would find something that was very important to me in the coming week. I giggled a little to Dustyn and in a sarcastic voice said, "Hmm... maybe I will find my pictures this week. ha ha."

(this is just a picture of a picture... i need to scan them in. I was just too excited to tell you)

More adoption love!

In case you missed it...
This couple welcomed home the best Christmas gift ever! Awesome!

And this couple is officially approved to adopt! YAY!
If you know of anyone who is considering adoption, please forward their information on!  They are going to be fantastic parents.  Seriously.

And don't forget the rest of the amazing couples hoping to adopt.  This is going to be a great year for adoption! ;)
I love it.

Be brave.  Open your mouth and tell everyone you know about adoption.  It is amazing what you will find out about your friends and family.  It really is.

Randomness

I decided that my blog is ready for a random post.

I haven't had a lot to talk about lately.  I just don't have much to say.  Thus the random post.  I always have randomness going for me!

I am so excited to go to the Twilight Party tomorrow night in St. George!  Wooohooo!  Thank you Amy and Haven for inviting me!  You guys rock!  We will totally have a blast!  Oh yeah, and I am sure the movie *might* be cool too.  We'll see about that.  ;)

I love all the holiday blog give-aways!  Of course I never win, but it sure is fun to have the opportunity.  I wish I could come up with something so I could do a blog giveaway.  I'm thinking.  And thinking.

I am completely stoked about Thanksgiving!  It got to be a favorite holiday of mine (aren't they all?).  Dustyn and I are hoping to get some suckers made before then.  It is becoming a tradition.  A fun one!  I got all the stuff out and washed the other day, now I just need to do it.  Soon.  I can not believe how fast it is coming!  ONE WEEK AWAY!

We decided to tag along with my family on a cruise!  I am so excited because;  1. I have never been on one.  2. Dustyn and I will be having our 5th Anniversary soon! Time to celebrate!  3.  Everyone needs a break.  4.  Mexico in February...  fabulous!

I need a new black dress.  I am really hoping for something like this... (I love, love, love it!) but I have no idea where to look.  I have been searching and searching, but have come up with nothing.  I guess I do have until the end of January to find one.

I had soooo many random thoughts earlier today that I was going to blog about... and now... nothing.  I love that.

Lately, I have been thinking about how old we are getting!  I can not believe that in 6 months, I will be 30.  Crazy!  I remember when my mom turned 30.  Ha ha!  It just seems so weird to realize that I am kinda growing up!  At least in age.

We watched Wall-E last night.  I love that movie!  It is a cute one!  But of course my FAVORITE part is when Wall-E charges and "boots up" when he is fully charged.  I love that.  Of course, it is a Mac start up sound.  That may help.  ;)

It's sad that I don't even have much randomness in me lately.
I suppose this will do for now!  :)

Have a great FRIDAY my friends!

October

Can you believe it is already October?  Seriously, were did the year go?

I am completely excited that it is fall.  I love fall.  It is my most favorite time of the year.  October marks a lot of major events in our lives.  It's kinda a special month for us, full of emotions, memories, traditions, and fun.

5 years ago this month, Dustyn and I started dating!  It was 5 years ago this month that I found the best husband that there could possibly be for me.  He is amazing and I am completely lucky that I found him!  Can you believe it's been 5 years?  I can not believe that in 3 month I will have been married 5 years!  That is just crazy.  I feel like it was just yesterday.

4 years ago this month, our angel baby, Hannah, came to earth for a short moment. We are thankful for her and for her presence in our lives.  She is such a strength to us and continually turns our thoughts to Heaven and Eternal Life.  She helps us be the people that we need to be.  She gives us strength to keep going.  She reminds us daily of our Eternal plan.  What a blessing.

2 years ago this month, we were officially approved to adopt!  What an amazing journey the past 2+ year have been.  I can not even begin to tell you what I have learned.  I have learned more about myself.  More than I ever thought I wanted to know, but it turns out, I'm not so bad!  I didn't know who I was.  Slowly through trial and error, I am finding myself and the person that I really want to be.

I have learned about Dustyn, about our marriage.  What a miracle to be married to Dustyn for all time and all eternity.  Through all the trials, we sit and wonder what in the world we were suppose to learn.  What good can we take out of our pain and heartache?  Somehow we always find it.  We are together and that is all that matters.  If we never have children here on this earth, I will always be blessed to have Dustyn.  He's all I need on this earth.  I know I have eternity to raise and be with my children.  Now, that doesn't mean that I don't want to have children here, but I am happy to have the eternal family that I have!

Adoption.  Seriously, this is the work of the Lord.  He truly knows what we need and when we need it.  Adoption is such an amazing program.  I mean, something that ends in an eternal family sealed in the Temple for all time and eternity.  Can there be anything more special?  My heart is so full of love for adoption.  My whole and complete heart is in adoption.  I wish I could explain with words how I feel, but I fear there is nothing I can say to explain the feelings of my heart.  Just know, that I feel the love of Christ in adoption.  What an amazing work.

I am not the same person I was two years ago.  I have completely changed through love, heartaches, and experiences.  I will never be the same person I once was and for that I am grateful.

I love October.  I love what it represents to me and my little eternal family.  I love that no matter how sad I am during October, I can find happiness in my Heavenly Father and in his son Jesus Christ.  He is there for me!  He wants me to be happy!  And when he feels we are ready, he will bless us with miracles.  What a loving Heavenly Father we have.  We are so blessed.

I love October!

Hilary

Hilary is doing alright. She is still pregnant and miserable. She went to the doctor the other day and since she wasn't in active labor, they sent her home. He said that she is measuring more around 39 weeks so he wouldn't induce her yet. But he will within a week if she hasn't had the baby yet. She is thinking Castor Oil is sounding good at this point... on a bumpy road. :) We hope the baby decides to come soon.

Baby...

She still isn't ready to come. Hilary is doing alright, but uncomfortable. I wish we had more to report, but when anything happens, ya'll will be the first to know! :)

Names!

So I know that the adoption is not official yet... and no matter how hard I try to hold in the excitement a little comes out every now and then.

So for all of you that have been guessing on the name of the baby... now would be the time to make your official guess. If you already know the baby's name, you are NOT allowed to guess! :) (Or you better come up with a good pretend name) This means you CamRee! (Oh yeah, and you earned your free visit). You can't tell anyone for another few days! You are the best secret keeper ever! I could trust you with ANY secret! I love five year olds!

The one who gets the closest will get 10 points and maybe a free visit with the baby. The rest of you will have to pay the admission fee at the door (I have to get an iPhone somehow!). If anyone else cares to venture a guess on the weight, time and date of the baby, feel free. I might have a few more free visits, but I will check on that and let you know.

Today is Hilary's due date!

Wow! I can't believe it is here! Today is the day that Hilary is due with Gremlin! We are so excited and can't wait until she is ready to meet the world.

It seems like not too long ago that we found out that we were expecting. Then holding our sweet Hannah in our arms. And then filling out paperwork for adoption and doing the homestudy trying to get ready to adopt a baby. Then trying to get the nursery ready for a sweet baby. Then picking out the stroller, carseat, crib, diaper bag and all the many assessories for a baby. Waiting and waiting to get that phone call or that one special contact. It all seems like not long ago. But it feels like we have been longing to have a baby in our home for an eternity.

Could this really be it? Could we finally have a sweet little girl in our arms? Soon? A baby to love? A baby to steal our attention? A baby to change our lives forever? Is the wait finally over? Can we finally open our heart and love a special little life? More than we can even imagine?

We hope and pray that things will work out and that our hearts will be healed. We keep waiting for the phone call to tell us that everything is ready for us in Pennsylvania and that our beautiful daughter is there waiting to leave her wonderful mother to make the long trip home to Utah. Hilary, who gave her life. Someone who our little sweetheart will look up to and admire for life. Will it happen today? Tomorrow? We don't know. But the excitement and anxiety is almost too much to hold in.

Hilary. We love you and can't wait to see you. We admire your strength. Your love. Your courage. Your heart. Your compassion. Your understanding. Your patience. You.

Hilary's due date is tomorrow! We are still hoping that things turn out as planned! :) I can't believe it is already time! Wow!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATTIE! WE LOVE YOU!

New Recliner

So today has been a pretty good day. Nothing too exciting... but good. We went to Irmitas in Salina. It was great food. If you like authentic Mexican... you should try it for sure. Then afterwords we went to Ogden's Carpet Outlet and finally caved and bought a leather recliner. We have been looking at them forever and we fianlly found one I liked... and we have tried hundreds... and it was a good price, so that made it even better. Hopefully we like it. We haven't got it yet because we are just going to make a few payments... and they are ordering a new one in so we don't have to take the display model.

YAH!! I am excited. We need to have some sort of rocking chair... I mean how can you rock a baby without a rocking chair! That was my excuse anyways.

Baby Stuff

So this is some of the stuff that I picked out when we went baby shopping the other day. I have no idea if these are good products or not since I don't have a lot of experience with what is good or bad and things you should look for when you are buying baby equiptment.

Anyways, the playpen has a changing table thingy and a seperate bassinet that you can use in the playpen or on a seperate stand. I thought this would be a convienient product, any objections?

This is the stroller that I picked out. Of course we are not buying anything gender specific, first of all because we have no idea if we will be having a boy or a girl and further more, hopefully down the road there will be more than just one. I don't love the color of these... there is one that I like a better (Gray and Lime Green ... imagine that :) ... but it's hard to fine. This actually looks better in person thatn pictures. Anyways, i played with a lot of the strollers and this one seemed to have the most and easy to use features. Now I have no idea if it really is, but if anyone has any suggestions, feel free to comment!

And this is the car seat, of course it goes with the stroller. I like it.
