so... i *almost* forgot.

That would have been terrible. Oh dear.
For some reason I was set for Tuesday at midnight, but I was wrong, wrong, wrong.

So without further stalling...
I give you the winner of a $20.00 gift card to Red Mango.

(because most entries were all on one comment, I went through and listed everyone out on a piece of paper and went about it that way. If anyone one has problems with this procedure, sorry. I just wanted to be fair)

count down...

You better take a long good hard look.
This may be the last time you ever see Dustyn's classroom this clean!

adoption and red mango

my favs.

Last weekend we went to the National Families Supporting Adoption Conference.
it was a.m.a.z.i.n.g.
I love the renewal of hope, faith, love and excitement that it gives me. We go to church every week to be refueled and rededicated. To me, that is what the FSA Conference does. I love it. Completely refreshing.

While we were there we made a stop at red mango, of course.
I seriously can not get enough.
It is a little expensive, but if you haven't tried it, you need to.
They have the freshest tasting fruit I have ever had. Every time.
My most favorite is Pomegranate frozen yogurt with blueberries and raspberries.
Seriously, the best fruit ever.

Because it is a little pricey and I want you all to try it and I love adoption...
It's a giveaway!

Hooray!

Here are the rules.
First off, if you don't live by a red mango or in the US, you can still enter. We'll work it out! But please enter.

1. If you send my your mailing address to dustynkamieATgmailDOTcom I will send you some pass along cards. (We are getting some new ones so even if you have a few, send me your address) One entry.
2. Add our adoption button to your blog. (or if it's already there that's great too!) One entry.
3. If you tweet or plurk or facebook about our hope to adopt and include our adoption blog: http://dustynkamie.blogspot.com One entry per status update.
4. If you are really brave you can add a snippet about our hope to adopt OR adoption in general in your email signature line. You can also send out an email to everyone you know about adoption/our hope to adopt. Five entries. (let's face it... it takes more guts).
5. Add the "It's About Love" or FSA button on your website. You can find the codes here. One entry.
6. Post about adoption. Anything from a positive youtube video to an article about adoption or your view/opinion about adoption! Every voice helps! Especially the positive voices! Three entries.

7. Talk to someone about adoption. Your neighbor, friend, relative, the grocery store clerk, anyone! You don't have to talk about our hope to adopt, just about adoption as an option for an unplanned pregnancy. Be an adoption advocate. Five entries.

Now here is the important part... leave a comment for each entry! If you get five for talking to someone about adoption, leave five comments.

In one of your comments, leave a question that you have about adoption.

The contest will end Sunday, August 8th at midnight.
Oh... and you'll get a red mango gift card!

I have amazing friends and family. Have I mentioned that lately?
Seriously.
Thank you for donating to our adoption fund!
I can not thank you enough or even begin to tell you how much it means to me.
Very, very humbling.
We are that much closer to our hope to adopt and opening up our options a little more. You guys are amazing.

Thank you.

adoption... it's about love.

After numerous requests for a link to donate to our adoption fund, I finally decided to make one.

It has been a struggle for me to decide if we should do this. Can we really accept money from other people to help build our family?

It's hard to let people help you. It's hard to be vulnerable.

But then I was thinking about it.

We love when friends, family, strangers or anyone hand out our pass-along cards. That is how they can help us! For a lot of people, donations is their way of helping and being involved. They don't feel like they can hand out a pass-along card, but they do have extra funds to help us on our journey. And they want to give.

So if donating a dollar or two here and there is your way of helping us on our journey to adopt, thank you so much for your kindness and love.

And if pass-along cards is your style of helping us out, awesome. I will send you as many as you can give away... but more on that later.

I love that so many friends and family want to help us out in our journey to adoption. I love that they want to be involved. It's overwhelming. And wonderful.

I know the best people!

Thank you so much. You love, support and kindness amazes me. We could not travel this road without you.

(and thank you so much for that certain awesome friend that is determined to send me monthly checks in the mail whether I like it or not. Srsly. Best friends ever!)
