We finally made Gage's room more age appropriate. It's nice to have somewhere for him to play without too many things he can get in to. He's a very curious little boy. He loves to bang on the wood floors. Soon, he'll have real carpet in his room. Hooray!

We got our new fridge yesterday and I am totally loving it!
It even fits better than I thought it would.

After all... it is a large fridge and I have a small kitchen. :)
Even better... it fit through the back door! YAY!

Now I just have to figure out how to fill it! It is so big, but I can see what I actually have! I love it!

We are hoping to get the water and ice hooked up soon and hopefully the filter will make our water taste better and drinkable. We have tried Britta filter before and they do work... as long as you don't let the water sit too long. So this way, it will be really nice to have cold water to drink. (not that I drink water. Ew.)

Anyways, just had to show it off. :)

OK This is how it works: I was asked to take pictures of the following things without straightening them up or prepping them, in order to capture real life around my household. Next I get to choose 5 people to do the same. It's kind of interesting to see what shape things are really in without any heads up. Here goes:

1. Fridge.
2. Closet. Man, it looks like we have so many clothes in this picture! Ha ha! (but notice: thanks to Kim, I have new Jeans that I LOVE! Now I just need to get rid of my not so great ones)And incase you were one of the unlucky ones that never got to see my spiffy closet shelves (that my sweet husband did) here they are:I love it.

3. The Kitchen Sink.4. A Toilet. I have no idea why anyone would ever want to see my toilet. But yes, my husband always puts the seat down, and the lid. Nice.5. Favorite shoes.  Love, love these shoes. I would recommend them to anyone!6. My Favorite Room. It's not organized yet, and this picture doesn't show it all, but of course it's my favorite! :)  Now if we could only use it.

Windy Wind

Yes, it is super windy today.  The news said 50+mph.  I was hoping to come home and see all the siding falling off my house so we'd have an excuse to get new siding or something.  

Well I wasn't completely wrong.
 

But I am pretty sure one panel isn't enough to get new siding.  Dang!

Tuesday . . . tuesday.

So I never actually got around to finishing my post yesterday - so you will have to wait for another day.  Dustyn, Chet (my brother - the youngest) and I went to help Jace (my other brother) do the last final cleaning of his house so he can sell it.  It was pretty fun!  At least I enjoyed it - As I coveted his kitchen/appliances and nice new house.  I wish his house were closer to the high school and we'd buy it.  It's so nice!  It makes me want a new house - even though I am thankful for my house and I do love it.  But there is just something about a new house.  :)  But I still love our little abode.  

Then being the fabulous brother that he is, he took us to El Mexicano on the way home!  Yum!  It was a nice evening!  Now if I could find the same energy and excitement to clean my own house!  ha ha.  Isn't it funny how that works.  

So I was just thinking about THIS post.  You know, I'd LOVE to answer all those questions, but I am thinking there are more than THREE people who read this blog.  Maybe not.  I don't know.  But if there are . . . ask away!  You can even be anonymous (but appropriate, please . . . )!  Thank you Melissa, Alecia and Mom for participating.  I haven't forgot about you and I will get back to your questions.

Poor Bruce

Apparently we had some excitement at our house yesterday. Too bad we missed it.

I was just getting out of school when my dad called and told me that there was quite the crowd at our house. I was a little confused and asked why. He explained.

There are quite a few power lines in our back yard and numerous trees that have overgrown them. We have called the power company time and time again. They keep telling us that those trees are our responsibility. Well apparently all the wind yesterday caused the transformer or something to start sparking and started a grass fire in our backyard. Well the back yard is still weeds. Dry weeds. Now, black weeds. Someone saw it sparking and noticed that it started the grass on fire and went and sprayed it down with the hose. Thankgoodness. They called in the fire deparment to make sure that the fire was out and that everything was okay. I guess we had quite the crew of officers, fire dept, power company and of course The Reaper. Blah.

Poor Bruce was scared to death. It burned up to where his area of the yard starts. There aren't any weeds there so it stopped, but I am surprised the wind didn't spread it more. The wind was crazy. But Bruce hid behind the shed. Nobody knew he was even back there until dad showed up at the house and went to check to see if he was okay, then he came out. I went and petted him and tried to calm him down, but he was pacing back and forth. Everytime I tried to leave he would start crying and barking as if saying, "Please don't leave me, PLEASE!!" I felt so bad for him.

By the time that I got home everything was fine. The back yard was still smoking, but not buring!! They cleaned out some of the trees, but there are still a lot back there that are eventually going to cause problems.

That was our excitement for the year, and we missed it.

After looking and looking and looking, we finally found a bed frame that I liked that we could afford. There were plenty I couldn't afford! Ha ha! But I really like it. And we bought a bedspread since we haven't really had one that fit. (The one in the top picture only covered the top of the bed, but showed all the sheets on the sides).

My most hated chore!

So one of my most hated chores ever is cleaning the fridge. Not so much the throwing out the food and old stuff, but the soapy warm water cleaning. I would be embarrassed to tell you how long it has been since I have cleaned it really well. Sure it gets quick clean every now and again... but when it comes to cleaning the fridge, I'd rather clean the bathroom!

But guess what I did today? I cleaned the Fridge! YAY! I am so excited to have it done and the fact that I don't have to do it for another 6 months, uhm... I mean another month.

I just need a new fridge, then maybe, just maybe i would enjoy cleaning it!
