true love

As Mother's Day approaches, my heart is full.

While I am excited that I can stand on Mother's Day and accept my flower (and not have to sit awkwardly as they push one in my face), my thoughts and prayers are turned to a beautiful selfless woman, Korin.

Oh how I love Korin.

She is my hero.

She is the woman I want to be.

The mother I want to be.

I hope she knows how much we love her.

The hardest part about our adoption (lets face it, adoption is so HARD) is not being able to see Korin every week or two. I loved going to her doctor appointments with her and spending time with her each week. I miss that. I miss her.

This Mother's Day, my thoughts are for Korin and the beautiful little boy she placed in our arms. She placed the world in our arms. He is our joy. We love him more than words can express.
Happy Mother's Day dear Korin.
We love you!
and
Happy Birth Mother's Day.
We are thankful for you and thankful for our beautiful babe.
We can't wait to tell him more about you.

With our adoption being so fresh, I've been feeling many of the exact same feelings. I hope your Korin and our Tracey (and all birth mothers everywhere) are blessed in abundance for the great abundance they have given with their selfless love. I am so so happy for you, Kamie! Gage couldn't have been placed in a better family!

What a sweet post, and how selfless that you are thinking of your baby's birthmom on this Mother's Day.

Mother's Day is truly a mix of emotions. You summed it up quite nicely.
